Heath Cox, 2022 Lucid Air Grand Touring; 2025 Gravity Dream Edition; Creator, LucidTracker

Send us Fan Mail Hello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome Heath Cox as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast. Heath is an early adopter of a couple of Lucid Motors vehicles, one of the purchasers of the inaugural 2022 Lucid Air Grand Touring, and then last year picking up the Gravity Dream Edition. Wow, Heath is a role model before we even get a chance to chat!   Heath told me, “I've been a Lucid owner since March 2022, starting with an Air Grand Touring as an early adopter; I made the jump to a Gravity Dream Edition in June 2025, again jumping in early on a brand-new platform. Out of that ownership experience, I built LucidTracker (https://lucidtracker.app), a free community platform built by an owner, for owners. The free tier is really about bringing Lucid owners together, you can track OTA software rollouts, participate in community leaderboards, and submit software bugs that others can upvote if they're seeing the same thing, which helps surface what's actually impacting the community. Owners who opt in can securely sync their vehicle data from Lucid to share across the community (anonymously if they prefer) and get a high-level view of their own charging sessions and vehicle status. I'm also getting ready to launch LucidTracker+, a paid tier for owners who want the deep-dive stuff, full trip history with routes and efficiency tracking, detailed charge session analytics, live GPS streaming, and faster sync intervals. I'd can certainty talk about what it's been like being an early adopter on two different Lucid platforms and how that journey led me to build something for the broader Lucid community.” Are you a Lucid owner with a compelling story to share, contact me at LucidDriverPodcast@gmail.com We'd love to hear from EV/Automotive enthusiasts with stories relevant to Lucid fans at LucidDriverPodcast@gmail.com Like my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575927028097 Check out my world-leading podcast about ocean cruising, The Joy of Cruising Podcast https://www.thejoyofcruisingpodcast.com/

Blaine Mathieu, My Journey with Lucid Motors & a 2025 Lucid Air Grand Touring EV-Encore

Send us Fan Mail Hello, Lucid fans! One year ago, I hosted my first guest on Lucid Driver! To celebrate the anniversary of this milestone, here is an encore of that episode. Thank Blaine for being the first. This is Paul. I am delighted to welcome Blaine Mathieu. I am honored a tech CEO who happens to be the owner of one of the world’s beautiful vehicles agreed to be my guest on only the second episode of Lucid Driver.    From Blaine’s Blog: “Let's get something straight: I am not a professional car reviewer. (If you are looking for that, check out Dan Neil at the WSJ - he's amazing.) I am not even an amateur car reviewer - I have never published a word about cars in my life. What I am is the CEO of a Silicon Valley startup that loves vehicles. My wife is the Head of Product at a different company. Together we have owned every manner of car over the last 20 years including a Nissan 370Z convertible, a 1958 Triumph TR3A (pictured here on the website), a huge Buick Enclave, a plug-in Toyota Prius Prime, a bright green Range Rover Evoque 2-door SUV, and a bunch of things in between. The 2025 Lucid Air Grand Touring is our first fully-electric car, and I thought it would be fun to share our real-world experiences and impressions over the next few years. Enjoy!” Are you a Lucid owner with a compelling story to share, contact me at LucidDriverPodcast@gmail.com We'd love to hear from EV/Automotive enthusiasts with stories relevant to Lucid fans at LucidDriverPodcast@gmail.com Like my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575927028097 Check out my world-leading podcast about ocean cruising, The Joy of Cruising Podcast https://www.thejoyofcruisingpodcast.com/

Lawrence Richardson, 2025 Lucid Air Grand Touring

Send us Fan Mail Hello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome Lawrence Richardson as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast. Lawrence is a recent purchaser of a 2025 Lucid Air Grand Touring.   Lawrence told me, “I am retired after having worked for thirty something years with a Fortune 500 mining/manufacturing aluminum company. I had assignments in Suriname, South America for 5 years, and Guinea, West Africa for 4 years, and various assignments in several US cities. I am currently living in Atlanta, GA. I spend my time now volunteering, golfing, and gardening/landscaping around the house.   My EV experience started in 2014. Coming from a BMW 6 series, I was not in the market for another car. I had heard about Tesla, and was curious, so decided to take a test drive for the hell of it. Big mistake. Figured out a way to afford it and purchased Tesla Model S a few months later. Shortly thereafter became a 2 Tesla household.  No gas vehicles or tools since 2015. Moved from Tesla to Mercedes Benz EQS 450+ (current), Nissan Leaf (very briefly), and Rivian R1T (current). Veteran EV road tripper, even before supercharger network widely available. Early member of EVHybrid Noire.” Are you a Lucid owner with a compelling story to share, contact me at LucidDriverPodcast@gmail.com We'd love to hear from EV/Automotive enthusiasts with stories relevant to Lucid fans at LucidDriverPodcast@gmail.com Like my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575927028097 Check out my world-leading podcast about ocean cruising, The Joy of Cruising Podcast https://www.thejoyofcruisingpodcast.com/

    McFarland Arts

Send us Fan Mail Hello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome Alphonzo McFarland as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast. Alphonzo is the creator of McFarland Arts.   Alphonzo told me, “I've always had a passion for cars. My father owned a custom 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air—a hot rod featuring small front wheels and dramatic dragster wheels in the back. Though he wasn't around often, that car left a lasting impression on me. I thought it was incredible. As a kid, I drew cars constantly, trying to capture their essence on paper. I could only manage profile views, so I sketched them everywhere: homework assignments, napkins, scraps of paper—anything I could find. Growing older, art became my true passion, but my fascination with cars never faded into the background. At thirteen, I bought my first hobby-grade RC car—a kit you build from the ground up with servos and motors—to understand how vehicles actually worked. I was hooked. I progressed to gas-powered RC cars, and as an artist, I could express myself through custom paint schemes and creative designs. Eventually, I moved into advanced electric RC cars and started racing them seriously. Throughout college, I honed my artistic skills and earned a degree in graphic design and illustration. Later, I transitioned into computer animation, which taught me to visualize objects in motion and three-dimensional space—skills that deepened my understanding of design.   Today, I notice that most electric vehicles on the market lack visual imagination. They feel generic. A few months ago, I spotted a car I'd never seen before—a Lucid Air. Its styling was striking: elegant lines, thoughtful proportions, and genuine character. I researched it and became captivated. Since I was already designing AI-generated vehicles online, I decided to experiment with the Lucid platform, exploring creative variations and new possibilities within its design language. That curiosity sparked my current passion: reimagining what the Lucid line of vehicles could become.  Are you a Lucid owner with a compelling story to share, contact me at LucidDriverPodcast@gmail.com We'd love to hear from EV/Automotive enthusiasts with stories relevant to Lucid fans at LucidDriverPodcast@gmail.com Like my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575927028097 Check out my world-leading podcast about ocean cruising, The Joy of Cruising Podcast https://www.thejoyofcruisingpodcast.com/

Joerg Maass, Owner in Germany, Lucid Air Touring

Send us Fan Mail Hello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome Joerg Maass as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast. I “met” Joerg online when I posted some like this celebratory milestone on my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook Group: “Lucid Driver reached our 60th country today but I have yet to host an international guest.” Well, I’d like to give a big welcome to my first international guest, Jorg Maab of Germany! By the way, in the weeks since reaching 60 countries, we are now up to country #70! Great for the podcast, and in my view a positive sign for Lucid Motors.   Joerg told me, “I am 61 years old and a freelance IT consultant specializing in security and operations management. I mainly work for large corporations, currently for Germany’s largest steel producer and a bank. I’m married to a Canadian with two grown up kids, one is currently doing her master’s in biology, and my son plans to join the police force after his voluntary year in social services. I like technology, speed, aeronautics (I was an avid skydiver) and water and am an active sailor, shipping tourists around in a sailboat on a Bavarian lake. I also like history and politics and follow political events closely.   I got interested in Lucid when I read about them in some publications and saw pictures of the Air. At the time, I was driving an Alfa Romeo Q4 Veloce, not a slow car by any means, but I was interested in electric cars and thought the Lucid Air might be a good, but expensive, match. I arranged for a test drive in Munich as soon as Lucid came to Germany and was blown away by the Dream Edition. I also test drove cars like the Lotus Emeya, BYD Han, Nio ET7, Pole Star 2 and HiPhi X. None of them compared to the Lucid, so I decided to take the leap and leased my black (with aluminum) Touring in October 2024. Kevin Andrews and His Unique Lucid Air Touring

Send us Fan Mail Hello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome Kevin Andrews as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast. I “met” Kevin online when he posted the following: “Today's NJ Lucid Owners Club Event. My green Air found a green Gravity buddy!” Well, Lucid Airs do not come in green from the plant, so I thought it would be fun to invite Kevin on the podcast, responding, “Wow a unique Air. I’m inviting you to come on Lucid Driver Podcast and talk about it. Mine is Fathom Blue—I’m green with envy.” Kevin agreed as he responded, “Sure, it would be fun.” (Kevin was right.)   Kevin, originally from Venezuela told me, “I work in IT leadership in the medical device industry, so my day-to-day is all about technology and making complex systems actually work in the real world. I’ve always had a really strong tech mindset—I’m constantly analyzing, optimizing, and automating everything I can. That carries into my hobbies too. I’m really into cars and try to get on a racetrack at least once a year, although I haven’t taken an EV out on track yet. That same mindset is what drew me to Lucid. I drive a Lucid Air Touring, and I don’t really see it as just a car—it’s more like a high-end tech platform that I get to evaluate every day, both from a systems perspective and a driving perspective. So, I’m excited to talk about what it’s really like to own, where it stands out, and how it compares from both a tech and performance angle.”   Similar words to many I have received from Lucid owners who are often in IT, engineering, operations. But don’t lump Kevin in with everyone else. After all it is very unlikely other Lucid owners have a ride quite like his! Rae Millen’s Lucid Gravity, Nine Months Later

Send us Fan Mail Hello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome back Rae Millen as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast. I hosted Rae back in August 2025 when both his Lucid Gravity and Lucid Driver podcast were both relatively new. Well, that episode, Rae Millin, From Porsche Taycan to Lucid Gravity, Episode 18 went on to become the most downloaded episode in Lucid Driver podcast’s 11-month history. Since that time, I’ve noticed on the many Lucid-related Facebook groups that I frequent, that Rae has become the (Not So) Elder spokesman on behalf of most things Gravity. A level-headed, clearly informed sea of reason, research, and personal experience in an ocean of hyperbole and frantic, panicked but understandable concern on the part of some Gravity owners.    There is a lot to learn about Rae, and he obviously is not new to this EV world. Check out that earlier episode to get a sense for Rae’s background. It is my pleasure to catch up with Rae after nine months or so of Gravity ownership.
