Noted scholar of the history of religions, Elaine Pagels describes her own spiritual life as one of music, nature, friendship, and love. The author of books including The Gnostic Gospels, The Gospel of Thomas, and the memoir Why Religion? shares about her life -- why she took up the study of religion as an academic discipline, how she navigated the death of her six-year-old and her beloved husband within a single year, and how she sees life and faith today. The Main Street Vegan Podcast is an inspirational delight that I have missed during the hiatus! Victoria Moran chooses the best guests to bring forth a positive and encouraging vegan message. I always learn something new, even though I have been living the vegan lifestyle for a while. This show is for anyone who is at any point on the journey of compassion for life and who wants to live in joy!
Incredibly inspiring and educational podcast
I've listened to Main Street Vegan Podcast weekly for over 3 years. The podcast inspired me on my vegan journey, and has given so much helpful information on the how's and why's of this amazing lifestyle. Victoria's insightful and warm interview style puts her guests (and listeners) at ease. And each week, I learn so much from what is shared on the show. I look forward to it each week! I highly recommend it for the veg-curious, as well as those on their veg journey, from newbies to long-term vegans.
