On April 21, 2026, FACTOR announced a $2 million investment in the live music sector through two new initiatives, the Promoter Program and the Festival Program. According to FACTOR, the goal is to strengthen what it called cultural sovereignty by sharing risk with Canadian-owned promoters and festivals that have a real track record of presenting Canadian artists and keeping diverse Canadian voices at the center of the live experience.
