Initially, Matthew's professional career took off in 2001, when his work on "Trauma: Life in the E.R." received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Sound Editing for a non-fiction program. Matthew's professional credits are not limited to the editing sphere; his varied career includes shooting and directing verité, as is evident in Anthony Bourdain's first television series, "A Cook's Tour," for which he acted as camera operator and director.
