A Wonderful Portrait

Marilyn Monroe is my hero and this podcast presents a wonderfully human portrait of her. Marilyn is brought to life in a fascinating way by the dedication of the voice actors and writers and their attention to detail. Their care in raising awareness for mental illness and addiction is admirable and I am so grateful for their contributions. Thank you Behind The Icon! I’m keeping a good thought for Marilyn and for you! <3

Somewhat Problematic Yet Entertaining

I like this podcast and the production values are very good, however, the voice actress playing Marilyn is horrible. She sounds like a dimwitted 10 year old girl and she pronounces every word that starts with a “t” as a “d.” Dat is very distracting for da listener. Also, there’s a lot of unrealistic exposition from all the characters, but I guess this is needed for those who don’t know anything about Marilyn. The actress playing Grace McKee is particularly (though unintentionally) hysterical so I find her parts quite entertaining. And thankfully, Nina’s cut out most of her nonsensical babble from “Good Night Marilyn” so she’s much more palatable in this series.
