Introducing The Stolen Girls of Americus

Introducing The Stolen Girls of Americus

In Americus, Georgia, 1963, three young girls meet at a local protest, only to face chilling consequences for demanding justice.

Introducing The Stolen Girls of Americus, PushBlack’s new true crime narrative podcast, based on the true story of more than a dozen Black girls (ages 9 to 15) who were abducted by police during a 1963 protest in Americus, Georgia, where, for 45 days, their whereabouts remained a mystery to their family, community, and the world. Echoing the long history of missing Black girls, what happened next remains relevant today.

Moe Pop ,

This show gets it right

The Micheaux Mission is a fun romp through the Black film cannon, giving consideration to films white film critics often overlook if they reviewed at all. It's fun, funny, and sheds light on some of my favorite films and some I've never heard of but glad to learn about.
