Midlife Surfer: Surf Podcast

Jeff does a good job of sharing modern stories, and making them relatable. I enjoy the balance of home/ dad life mixed with surf life. Having surfed a lot in Santa Cruz in the 90’s, I have a nostalgic connection to it too. Excellent guests and production. 5 stars.

A friend of mine turned me on to this podcast. I listened to an episode and couldn’t stop listening as I drove to and from my favorites breaks. Jeff definitely nails the vibe / ethos of surf culture and a lot of great details about Santa Cruz and the San Francisco Bay Area. I laugh a lot at his description of surfers at a lot of the same spots I usually go to - so true, both from beginners to advanced, crusty locals to chilled out zen masters in the line up and everything in between. While I’m more of a mid-length and shortboard enthusiast, the beautiful descriptions and detailed insights into the world of long boarding are starting to grow on me. Who knows if I might eventually get a glider and try to learn how to nose ride? :-) Keep it up!! This is a breath of fresh air and very fun podcast with lots of great guests around the surfing industry and the surfer’s path.
