Midwest Murder
We’ve all heard the phrase ‘that kind of thing doesn’t happen in our town’, but here on Midwest Murder, we will shatter that false reality. In fact, it happens more often than we know, and sometimes the details of the most horrific crimes that happen in our neighborhoods are lost in the back pages of newspapers, forgotten on our news channels, and eventually erased over time.
You Have Ruined Podcasts For Me!

Since finding your podcast, I cannot find another one that even compares to yours! I have tried out several others but have yet to find another one that I enjoy listening to. It is clear that you two enjoy working together. I love the honest reactions when your co-host is hearing the information at the same time as the audience. I will say that I enjoy listening to the “live” shows more than the ones recorded in the studio as you each are so much more expressive in front of an audience than when it is just the two of you. I appreciate the disclaimers at the start as well, there have been two shows I have not been able to listen to. The wait between shows is rough! I have made sure my family knows who to look at when I am murdered! PS- say hi to “Effertz Law” for me (we grew up together {mutual cousins}- I loved the show with the extra plugs!)

Love Midwest Murder—great storytelling and fascinating cases from the ‘Upper Midwest' or what I would call the Great Plains ..Just wish they’d come a bit further east for some ‘actual Midwest’ cases in Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan. But hey, feel free to keep Ohio off the list!
A taste of home

I LOVE YOU GUYS! I listen to all the murder and crime podcasts. I was home (Carrington, North Dakota) a few months ago and my sisters told me about your podcast. I have lived in other states for 15 years and love hearing your Midwest accents and about towns back home. You are the perfect mix of my interest in crime and connection to home. Thank you! P.S. the banter between you two is so relatable and fun to listen to! Keep it up!

They do the work to get to the truth. The story telling is in the way that respect the victims. It’s eye opening to the nature of murder in small towns in rural communities. Stories over looked by national news.
