When I moved to Denver, Colorado in 2005, I went online to try to find a Vineyard Church because I attended one in North Carolina that I loved. That’s how I discovered the Mile High Vineyard. At the time, they met at a middle school in Arvada, and I remember walking in for the first time following a young college gal covered in tattoos thinking “I’m too old or this may not be the fit for me.” But I sat in the middle school auditorium and listened to Jay for the first time… I was so blown away by his teaching. He was absolutely incredible… The way he spoke truth and combined it with humor, humility and intellect… I knew I found my church home. I was 30 at the time and knew that because this was a newer church, it wouldn’t have the programs to get me connected like other larger churches. However, this was the best church I had ever attended. So for the next 15 years, I faithfully attended and watched it grow. It changed locations a couple of times, and the number of services and church plants around the city continued to expand. A true testament of how God used the Mile High Vineyard, Jay and Danielle and other leadership across the community to spread God’s message. Forever grateful. I moved away several years ago, but still listen to their podcasts to this day. 💕
