Got Mylk? The Real Deal with Milk and Milk Alternatives with Brooke Rewa

Great advice for all women!

Love this podcast! Liz has brought structured and informative episodes. They always make me feel so empowered! Definitely worth a listen and I have recommended to friends as well!!

Bummed

I used to listen to this podcast every week and I loved it!! I always thought Liz was super sweet. I loved how she shared her weekly pregnancy updates on the podcast and her birth story.
But then I got really sad when she decided to never show any photos of her child even though weekly she gave us pregnancy updates and personal birth details. She would ask the group pregnancy questions, support, etc. but then when the baby actually comes she blurs out her babies face in every photo because of privacy concerns...??? Bummed because I was really looking forward to seeing their cute little babe since I followed from the start. I decided to unfollow Liz and go with another pregnancy podcast because I feel let down and that I can’t relate anymore. She trusts to ask us questions/advice but then won’t even show a photo of her baby?? I never heard of that before...weird to me. Moving on to a more family based podcast.

It's ok...YOU KNOW?

LOL, the Mylk episode. I have so many thoughts. First, say it with me now: GLYPHOSATE - This word is singular, not plural. I used to work for Monsanto (now Bayer), the manufacturer of Roundup (glyphosate) but this information is not unique to me, it is available with a quick Google search. How can listeners trust you if you cannot even get the terminology correct? And how can you record a podcast without remembering to silence your phone? Good grief, you have ONE job with this podcast (aside from raising a baby). You record like once a week. Then you go on to say you will edit it out and STILL not edit it out? For f-sake. Now on to the plant-based milk. It is true, most brands are trash. Oatly (the white carton especially) is not trash. But you can't talk about that, because after all, this episode was a giant ad for Mylk! You are correct that some oils cause inflammation. But you just briefly touch on this, good grief. Talk about WHY inflammation is bad. Most people don’t know these things. Definitely not your audience. Overall, this could use a lot of improvement. It’s so obvious that each guest is just there to push their own products. I work a full-time job and I listen to a lot of podcasts. I am a savvy listener. You literally have one job, which is to get the facts straight. Don't present only half the story, and for godsake get your terminology correct. You KNOW?

January 2020 update: Anyone notice that many of the guests are from Canada? Seems a little strange.

9/5/2019: I can't believe you had Patrick Flynn on again. He was unbearable the first time! The guy sounds like the biggest snake oil salesman ever. His book has barely any reviews online and some of them are bad (see Amazon). PLEASE NEVER HAVE HIM ON AGAIN - He's full of b.s., I can tell. Updating my original rating from 2 to 3 stars. I like Liz and admire her for continuing the podcast without Jade and Carly. It's a lot better without the other two immature, ill-informed Instagram "influencers." Have to say though, the June 3 episode where Liz interviews Dr. Patrick Flynn was absolutely unbearable. Not because of Liz - and the content wasn't terrible - but because the guest came off as a serious snake-oil salesman with at least a couple of nervous verbal ticks I could not tolerate ("doc," "knowwhatimean" -- just over and over). If he's ever on the podcast again, I will not be listening.
