Her father claims that Alicia stormed out of his home following an argument, and she has not been seen since. No sign of her has ever been found. Alicia's father seems to think that perhaps his daughter was trafficked, or she ran off, but Alicia's mom is suspicious of her ex husband and his story, as are many other people in the community. Over the years rumors swirled about Alicia's case, and an anonymous letter from someone led police to search a nearby river, but nothing has panned out and Alicia is still missing. Alicia's friend, and case advocate Lori Hiner discusses Alicia's disappearance in this episode.

Great

Mike’s empathy is clear in each interview. He does a good job of active listening and helping the loved one of the missing person open up. I would feel safe talking to him. Jess is also really good at giving a clear explanation of the situation. I would recommend. I also appreciate the lack of banter - sometimes I like it in a TC podcast but it’s refreshing to just get to the important points. Thanks for the work guys! As someone who could have been a missing person, I appreciate what you are doing!

Mixed fee

Mixed feelings about this show. I enjoy podcasts about missing persons. They’re by far my favorite in the True Crime genre. The first part of this show, the part done with the woman, is done very well. The second part however is so bad. The interviewer doesn’t really ask probing questions. There is so much more that could be learned from family members/other guests if only the proper questions were asked.
This has the potential to be a great show that provides vital information to listeners who truly wish to help, as well as being very interesting. I hope that Mike will continue to hone his interviewing skills, and really put forth the effort to ask the most important questions. Also, there needs to be more follow up questions. Guests will say things and very rarely is there any meaningful follow up. I found it to be extremely frustrating. Someone else should be doing the interview portion.

Why do podcasts

Sugar coat the missing peoples lives. Chris douthat was a bad person his girlfriend was a awful mother and junkie. How old was Chris and he didn’t even have a car? Common now bad things don’t always happen to these great wonderful people some times these peoples live choices are what brings about their demise. Tired of the sugar coating of how good of people the missing are. If you were a piece of garbage before you went missing shouldn’t automatically change when you go missing. Also Chris’s mother sounds like a complete idiot who would raise a heroin junkie. Sometimes the families ruin the show with their nonsensical and illogical conclusions or believes.
