Hope: Part 6
Welcome to Next Level: Good Vibes Only where Jessica and Darren Salquist share some awesomeness on HOPE. Let's create hope for ourselves and each other.
Martin Luther King Jr had a dream. A dream that his "four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." A dream can be defined as a cherished aspiration, ambition. or ideal. He had hope that the future would allow for his dream to come true. He also put into action a plan to help cultivate that hope/dream.
That is what hope takes, building a plan, knowing the obstacles will occur, work hard, never give up, making progress, building momentum and repeat.
Shane Lopez, PhD. states "Hope is created moment to moment through our deliberate choices. It happens when we use our thoughts and feelings to temper our aversion to loss and actively pursue what is possible. When we choose hope, we define what matters to us most.
