Episode 49: Your Life Doesn’t Need to Change, Your Thoughts Do: How to Feel Better Without Changing Your Circumstances

Have you ever caught yourself thinking, “If this one thing would change, then I could finally feel better”? If my kids would behave differently. If my husband would understand. If I could lose the weight. If we made more money. If this person would change. If I could just get through this season. I’ve done it too. I’ve spent so much energy believing that something outside of me needed to change before I could feel differently inside of me. But what if your life doesn’t need to change nearly as much as you think it does? In this episode, I’m talking about the incredible power our thoughts and beliefs have over the way we experience our lives. I share fascinating experiments about grip strength, poison ivy and expectation, along with some very real stories from my own life that have reminded me that I don’t have to believe every thought my brain gives me. I can’t control my kids, my husband, other people’s opinions, the economy, what someone says or what happened yesterday. But I can start paying attention to the thoughts I’m allowing to run my life. And when I find a thought that is creating a life I don’t want anymore, I can question it. I can challenge it. I can stop rehearsing it. I can decide, not anymore. Maybe there are parts of your life that are already beautiful and your thoughts just haven’t let you see them yet. This week, I’m challenging you to notice when something feels heavy and ask yourself one simple question: “What am I making this mean?” Your circumstances are part of your story, but they don’t get to write the whole thing. Not anymore. #Mindset #PersonalDevelopment #ChangeYourThoughts #ChangeYourLife #PositiveMindset #SelfGrowth #MindsetShift #LifeCoaching #MentalStrength #SelfImprovement #PersonalGrowth #ThoughtWork #EmotionalWellness #WomenEmpowerment #NotAnymorePodcast

Episode 48: Stop Treating Every Little Thing Like an Emergency: Feel Less Stressed and Get Out of Survival Mode

Have you ever noticed how quickly your body can turn something small into a full blown emergency? Someone is upset with you. You’re running late. You make a mistake. Your kid is melting down. You have a hard conversation coming up. Suddenly your heart is racing, your mind is spinning, and your body is screaming, FIX IT NOW. I lived this way for years without realizing it. My nervous system had learned to treat discomfort like danger. In this episode, I’m talking about what happens when we spend too much of our lives in fight or flight, how chronic stress can affect our physical and emotional health, and the realization that helped me start retraining my nervous system. I’ll share some of the signs that your body may be living in survival mode, why calm can actually feel uncomfortable when you’re used to constant urgency, and one simple practice I use to remind my body that I am safe. Not everything is an emergency. Someone being disappointed in you is not an emergency. Being late is not an emergency. Making a mistake is not an emergency. Having an uncomfortable conversation is not an emergency. This week, I want you to start noticing when your body sounds the alarm and ask yourself, “Am I actually in danger, or am I just uncomfortable?” Take three deep breaths and remind yourself: This is not an emergency. I am safe. I do not have to fix this right now. It might feel unnatural at first. Keep practicing. We are retraining that barking dog inside of us. Not anymore. #NervousSystem #NervousSystemRegulation #FightOrFlight #SurvivalMode #StressManagement #ChronicStress #AnxietyRelief #MentalHealth #PersonalDevelopment #Mindset #EmotionalWellness #SelfImprovement #Mindfulness #StressRelief #NotAnymorePodcast

Episode 47: Stop Comparing and Start Trusting Yourself

Have you ever seen another mom, friend, or person on social media doing something amazing and immediately thought, “Wait…should I be doing that too?” I caught myself doing exactly that. I saw another mom sharing something she does to connect with her family, and within seconds, my brain had turned her beautiful idea into evidence that I was doing motherhood wrong. But then I caught it: Not anymore. What if she’s a great mom AND I’m a great mom? What if her way works for her family and my way works for mine? What if neither of us is doing it wrong? In this episode, I’m talking about comparison, information overload, all of the “shoulds” we put on ourselves, and how easy it is to let someone else’s parenting, health routine, habits, or lifestyle make us question our own. I’ll share how I’m learning to stop asking, “What’s the right way to do this?” and start asking a much better question: “What am I actually trying to create?” Because comparison doesn’t just steal our joy, it can steal our self-trust. My hope is that after this episode, you’ll feel a little less pressure to find the “right” way to live and a lot more confident trusting yourself to decide what works for YOU. Maybe you don’t need another person telling you how to live your life. Maybe you need to become the person whose opinion about your life you trust. #NotAnymorePodcast #SelfTrust #StopComparing #Comparison #PersonalGrowth #Mindset #MindsetShift #SelfImprovement #Motherhood #Parenting #Overthinking #Confidence #WomenEmpowerment #PersonalDevelopment

Episode 46: Change Who You Believe You Are and Watch Your Life Change

For years I believed that once my circumstances changed, then I would finally become the person I wanted to be. Once I reached the goal, sold the house, built the business, ate healthier, or became more confident, then everything else would fall into place. But a surprising lesson from my daughter completely challenged that way of thinking. After hearing a parenting insight from Dr. Becky, I realized that maybe the words "I wish" are more powerful than I ever imagined. They reveal the person we're longing to become. The problem is that most of us spend our lives rehearsing the identity we're trying to leave behind instead of practicing the one we're trying to grow into. In this episode, I'm sharing how shifting my identity before seeing the results has changed the way I think about parenting, faith, business, health, and everyday life. We'll talk about the difference between fantasy and faith, why your brain believes the stories you repeatedly tell yourself, and how becoming the future version of yourself today can completely change the actions you take tomorrow. If you've ever found yourself saying, "I wish..." this episode will challenge you to stop waiting for your life to change and start becoming the person God already knows you can be. #IdentityShift #MindsetMatters #PersonalGrowth #FaithOverFear #SelfDevelopment #BecomeWhoYouAre #ChristianPodcast #GrowthMindset #IntentionalLiving #NotAnymorePodcast

Episode 45: Stop Trying to Say the Right Thing and Start Telling the Real Truth

For years I thought there was a right way to do everything. The right way to parent. The right way to handle conflict. The right way to text people back. The right thing to say in hard conversations. I was constantly overthinking my words trying to avoid failure embarrassment rejection or disappointing people. And honestly? It was exhausting. In this episode I’m talking about the pressure so many of us carry to get everything “right” and how that pressure slowly disconnects us from who we really are. I share personal stories about motherhood marriage teaching and relationships and the moment a conversation with my daughter completely stopped me in my tracks when I told her:  “Don’t try to be right. Just be real.” We’re diving into why authenticity creates deeper connection than perfection ever will and what it actually looks like to stop performing and start showing up honestly in everyday life. If you constantly replay conversations in your head struggle with people pleasing overthink texts avoid hard conversations or feel anxious trying to say the perfect thing this episode will feel like a deep breath for your soul. This is your reminder that you do not need perfect words to be worthy loved respected or connected. You just need to be real. #PeoplePleasing #Perfectionism #Authenticity #SelfGrowth #Motherhood #Healing #Confidence #MentalHealth #Relationships #PersonalDevelopment

Episode 44: Having a Bad Day Does Not Mean You’re Doing Life Wrong, It's Actually a Sign You're Right on Track

A while back I had one of those terrible horrible no good very bad days. I woke up sick, overwhelmed, exhausted, and completely buried under the pressure of everything I needed to do. My brain convinced me every task was an emergency and no amount of mindset work could snap me out of it. For a minute I judged myself hard. I thought I should be handling things better. I thought successful people must have figured out how to avoid bad days altogether. But then I learned something that completely changed my perspective. High performers actually expect bad days. The most successful people in the world still have off days, emotional days, and overwhelmed days. They just do not make those days mean they are failing. In this episode I talk about overwhelm, emotional exhaustion, self compassion, hormones, productivity pressure, and the freedom that comes when we stop expecting ourselves to feel amazing all the time. This episode is for anyone who has ever wondered why they cannot just snap out of it and needs the reminder that a bad day does not mean you are broken. It might actually mean you are human and right on track. #NotAnymorePodcast #OverwhelmedMom #PersonalDevelopment #MentalHealthAwareness #SelfCompassion #MindsetShift #EmotionalWellness #HighPerformerHabits #MomLifeUnfiltered #HealingJourney #AnxietyRelief #WomenSupportingWomen #GrowthMindset #SelfWorth #PodcastForWomen #OvercomingOverwhelm #BadDaysHappen #EmotionalHealth #MindsetMatters #ProgressNotPerfection
