I have been nicknamed "Sensitive listener" because I had been experiencing a big volume difference between the show and the commercials due to wearing an ear bud.
That has not been happening. Yeah!
But the real reason I am writing is to tell you both that I love your show, been with you from the very start so you definitely feel like old friends.
I love your humor and repartée.
I wanted to share that I live in the Seattle area and have had quite a few indirect yet interesting Ted Bundy experiences.
1) I was swimming at Lake Sammamish park and found a watch in the parking lot. It had been run over a bit. I turned it into the police because I realized I found it in the same day Bundy kidnapped a woman by wearing a fake leg cast.
So it was creepy to think it could have been me helping him put out something into his van.
I probably wouldn't have been worried because the park was packed that day.
2) My boss's husband worked at the desk next to Bundy for 2 years. This was before he started murdering women but still he was very creeped out.
3) One of my assistants who is a good friend admitted she dated Ted. She said he was "quite a gentleman"
.
4)I worked at a nursing home. One day a resident said she thinks her roommate was Ted Bundy's ex-wife Carol Anne Boone . She had changed her last name. Her ex-bro in law who visited was Ted's brother with the last named Bundy.
5) I won't share the ex-wife's new last name. It wasn't the one mentioned in articles. She was a very nice woman who was a grandmother by then. She was busy making quilts for her grandchildren.
6) It was Carol Anne's birthday and her daughter Rose and Rose's children were flying in from England to have a birthday party for their mom.
I stayed late to help them.
This was the daughter of Ted. They had conceived her when Ted was on death row.
They had reportedly bribed the guards for conjugal visits.
When Rose had grown up she changed her name and moved to England.
You'd never know by meeting them of course and it was actually good to see them celebrate as a "normal" family.
After Carol Anne died, a reporter showed up asking questions about her. Of course we didn't fess up that our entire department knew her identity. We never shared that info with anyone else and even caregivers or management.
But ya gotta wonder, how Carol Anne could be so gullible.
There is footage of her and Ted flirting and getting married during the murder trial of 12 year old Kimberly Keach.
To me that was the worst if his many murders due to her young age.
I saw a video of Carol Anne and Ted flirting and wanted to scream. Even if Carol Anne believed her hubby was was innocent, it's completely sickening that they were flirting in front of the victim's family during their daughter's murder trial.
When Bundy finally confessed, Carol Anne felt betrayed and divorced him.
Anyhoo, kind of interesting?
Congratulations on your marriage!!
Best, Lynn
