Part 1 of 2 CASE DETAILS: In Rockport, Texas, Aransas County Court-at-Law Judge William Adams appeared to be everything a family court judge should be: professional, respected, a pillar of the Gulf Coast community. For over a decade, he presided over child abuse and family violence cases, determining whether parents were fit to raise their children. He decided who should keep custody and who should lose it. In 2004, his sixteen-year-old daughter Hillary made a decision that would eventually expose the truth. She positioned a camera in her bedroom and captured what her father did behind closed doors. The footage shows Judge Adams entering, demanding a belt, and striking his daughter at least seventeen times while screaming profanities. Hillary, who has lived with ataxic cerebral palsy since birth, screams and refuses to comply. Her mother Hallie—still married to William at the time—appears in the video and strikes Hillary once herself. The beating occurred because Hillary had downloaded music and games from the internet. For seven years, she kept the recording hidden, unable to reveal what happened while still living under her father's control. After her parents divorced in 2007 and harassment from her father intensified, Hillary posted the footage on YouTube in November 2011. WHY BLACK LABEL: This case earned BLACK LABEL status because it exposes the sickening hypocrisy of a man entrusted with protecting children who committed violence against his own child. The footage itself—raw, unedited, nearly eight minutes of documented abuse—represents evidence rarely captured in domestic violence cases. The audio transcription you will hear contains explicit language, threats of escalating violence, and the sounds of a child being beaten. For listeners who demand complete, unflinching documentation of how power corrupts and authority becomes abuse, BLACK LABEL delivers the full story—no censorship, no sanitization, no apology.
