Great show guys. Just a comment, how about all the energy it takes to make corn, then turn into ethanol. Water, fertilizer, land, tractors, trucks, and that’s just for the corn! I think an environmental advocate would be against extra use of all those resources. Keep it up!
Frac Completions Price War

First, I absolutely Love listening to this show. I wish it was longer LOL. I’ve learned so much about the industry, just by listening to y’all. I’m always thrilled when a new episode drops. I recommend y’all to everyone that ask for a good podcast. Apologies in advance for the long question. Feel free to consolidate it for your show. :) I have so many questions to ask, but I’ll save them for other times. My question is about the current price war with service companies making ~50% less or so than they did 7-10 years ago. For example, conventional Frac fleets are making barely enough to stay afloat. Natural/gas or electric fleets aren’t making much more either. With all the consolidation and massive buyouts, the Frac service side has lost more than 200% of its horsepower (485 fleets (2018)-195 fleets (2025). The advancement technology in just the past few years alone has been insane. Now companies are beginning to Frac 3 wells at a time, and efficiency standards are very high. (22+Hours a day of pump time). With that being said, why haven’t the few remaining service companies raised prices? What is your outlook for the future of service company pricing? Bonus question, do you predict a major Frac service company buying out somebody here in the US, or another Frac service company major joining the US shale play? Thank you so much for your time. God Bless. Sources: Primary Vision AOGR U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA)
Optimism?

Long time listener of the show. A lot of the topics Mark covers are great but I have to take issue with his comments last episode about what he thinks is optimism in the oil & gas business. This is out of touch. There is no optimism. As much as you might not want to admit it this administration is tearing apart the economy and the oil business with it. Just read the comments from the Dallas Fed Energy Survey. No one is optimistic. Layoffs have started, rig counts are stalling. There is nothing but fear and uncertainty in the oil patch.

Mark & Paige- awesome podcast. You guys are second to none in this space. If you guys ever make an exception to inviting guests on the show, the guys at MSA Safety would love to hop on and discuss connected PPE (specifically gas monitoring). Keep it up! We all appreciate what you two are doing.
