Does anyone actually wear jeans for comfort? Next Hollis is sharing her near death experience at the gym which just happened to be full of college bros. Will she be able to show her face again? Then it's time for a quick reality check and we're dishing on Gretchen's televangelist confessional looks and the RHOC scene with Emily and Shane regarding the care of their son. We found this scene difficult to watch and we hope they can come to a place of mutual support and understanding. Next up we're discussing some behavioral diseases some of which we share and some that are all our own. Do you have things that you do, but you don't know why you do them, and no matter what you just can't stop? Well we do and we're laying it all out there. We'd love to hear yours! Next we've got a quick circle back to the TikTok moms regarding mom shaming and dad shaming, or lack there of, and then it's time to get in the weeds about the The Biggest Loser documentary that recently aired on Netflix.     Ep 44: Pens Really Peaked in the 90s

    Send us a text Happy Wednesday Weed Whackers! First up, we're tired! We're sharing how much we love doing this podcast but that we're also human and sometimes it can be really hard to turn on the charm at the end of a long day of work and parenting. Can anyone relate? Next, we're discussing our annual rager of a weekend seeing music and staying out late. We may be pushing 40 but we still got it! Then Sam's sharing a funny story about her 5 year old and school lunches and it sparks a trip down memory lane of what we remember from the school lunches in the 90s. Spoiler alert, not a whole lot has changed! Next, we're discussing kid's birthday parties and how to navigate to gift or not to gift and covering the costs of the party. Parenting is hard. Then it's on to setting the record straight about Hello Kitty, the pen empire of the 90s, and some recent headlines involving Pete Davidson and Jessica Biel. This sparks an interesting discussion about how we feel, or don't feel, when celebrities couples split and when celebrities we admire pass away. The psychology behind this fascinates us. Then we're sharing some thoughts surrounding two TikTokers and the way they are being treated in the comments. The two women are, in our opinions, very similar yet one is being treated horribly while the other is being praised. Tune in for our theory as to why. Next, we're sharing our thoughts about the finale of And Just Like That. Don't come for us but we actually liked it and we're sad to see the series go. Today we're getting nostalgic and sharing our absolute must haves in toys and fashion as young girls.     Episode 42 Reality Check: Cheese and Wings?!

    Send us a text Hey Whackers! Welcome back to another Reality Check episode of She's in the Weeds! First up, Sam shares a funny story about a misunderstanding of the title "She's in the Weeds" and how this is now a food podcast. Then Hollis gives us the lowdown on her dad's birthday party and the delicious pie she made (I guess this is a food podcast?) Next, Sam is reflecting on having a kindergartner, spilling all the tea on the drop off and pick up situation, and sharing her experience realizing she has to make friends with the school parents. Why is making friends so hard in your 30s? Then we get into some discussion on tv and movies past and present. We are so excited for The Devil Wears Prada 2! We will be SAT! During our discussion we realize we share an affinity for the great Matthew Lillard and that we aren't so sure about pixie haircuts. Or at least Sam's not so sure. After much debate about short hair Sam opens up about her foot deformity so be sure to stay turned for that one. Moving on, we have thoughts to share about the Kardashian jowl trainer and once again we find ourselves in a debate about where to draw the line when supporting a public figure or business. Why does this have to be so hard. Why can't there just be perfect people and companies to give our money to? But unfortunately there's not and we're not perfect either so we're back to focusing on doing 1% better. Thanks, carmom. First up Sam and Hollis are yapping about just how hard it is to dress for this podcast and the very real struggle of trying to not look like a colonial man. They're also fairly certain that the George Washington hair style is a collective millennial female experience. Next up they're discussing some circle backs to the last week's episode and Sam is sharing some applicable wisdom from the Car Mom, IYKYK. The girls are also chatting about what content creators owe their audience in terms of beliefs, values, and political affiliations. It seems like more and more creators are being called out for not speaking on certain issues and they're wondering if the responsibility lies with the creator or the consumer. As always, it's nuanced! Finally, Sam and Hollis are sharing some thoughts and opinions on the recent online feud between Simone Biles and Riley Gaines and the current state of transgender rights in sports.
