Insightful, engaging

I just found this podcast and am tearing my through at several episodes a day. A couple of them had such a wealth of information that I listened twice. I’ll be sad when I’m all done.

Michelle mentioned at least a couple of times that people have commented that knowing how a natural phenomenon works diminishes its beauty. My retort to people who have said that to me (a mere armchair science enthusiast) is that, were it true, you couldn’t enjoy Mozart if you knew music theory, a football game if you understood the strategy, or driving a nice car if you knew how it was built. It’s a downright silly idea.

Thanks for the excellent podcast!
