Episode 7 - Do we have to get stressed from stressful events?

Episode 7 - Do we have to get stressed from stressful events?

How do we change our relationship with stress so that we can manage stress better? Some say we are making the stress in our mind, others believe it's circumstances that cause us to stress, and we have no control over it. Some believe that we need to think positively. So what is it? How do we stop stress from running our lives? In this episode we will discuss how we can use stress as information to get unstressed instead.

Episode 6 - Can we survive in a toxic culture?

Episode 6 - Can we survive in a toxic culture?

There's a lot of conversation about toxic culture, what causes it, and what to do about it. We are not going to solve it in this podcast but I hope my thoughts give you some tools to navigate through it and make some healthy choices for yourself.

Episode 5 - CARE At Scale

Episode 5 - CARE At Scale

What does it take for the CARE ripple effect to spread through a culture? How do we build care as a collective effort to create an impact in the world? How does care reach all the way to our customers? In a recent blog post, Seth Godin talked about care at scale and what it means for the customer and us. Taking that perspective into cultivating a culture that cares with intent and on purpose is how we care at scale. How is that different than a well-being culture, or is a well-being culture the foundation for an organization that cares more?

A well-being culture is mainly defined as caring for people, but a significant shift happens when we ask the question, how do we care about people? A Culture of Care® is how we CARE at scale; it's the ripple effect where care matters, care that reaches all the way to our customers.

Episode 4 - Change fatigue and what to do about It.

Episode 4 - Change fatigue and what to do about It.

How do we keep on our toes in the face of constant change? Change that we didn't anticipate, change happening around us, like layoffs and changes in management, strategies, and policies. Constant change that we have to respond to but are not in charge of. And then there's all the daily stuff too. Changed schedules and ... ok, I think you got my point.

Let's harness a change mindset instead of burning out from it and grow through uncertainty, shall we?

    The Future is Uncertain.

    The Future is Uncertain.

Let's stop pretending confidence comes from knowing what's ahead and instead realize that adversity is part of life. How can we learn to be more comfortable with the discomfort of change, especially the unexpected change that tends to pull the rug out from under us? How can we learn to live in awareness instead of living in fear? How can we learn to harness change, even when it's not the kind of change we plan for? How can we learn to grow through adversity without burning out? Listen to this podcast about changing our minds and becoming more aware and agile in the face of change.

I hope you will find some insights that help you, and I also invite you to get my book, The Self-Care Mindset, to give you the tools I talk about here on the podcast.
