Hey there! On this episode of Perfectly Broken, I am joined
by one of our Follow Your Magic Retreat participants, Katie Dickieson –  who is a spiritual scientist with a unique background in biomedical engineering and holistic health – to talk all about her journey and transformation. We have a vulnerable conversation that dives deep into her late-diagnosed autism, stepping into her purpose after losing her job, the reason she was ready to quit and leave in the middle of the retreat, and so much more. Katie is now bridging the gap between logical inquiry and spiritual intuition with a mission to empower individuals to explore their inner worlds, advocate for themselves, and live authentically.

Getting Fired Creating Space to Step into Purpose: How getting laid off from her secure job allowed her to create her Starlight Synergy School.

Challenging Rules Without Logic: Katie reflects on moments when she struggled with rules or expectations that lacked logical explanations.

The Power of Voicing Feelings: Feeling misunderstood and overwhelmed, Katie initially planned to leave the retreat, but was encouraged to speak up, leading to a profound breakthrough.

Humor as a Double-Edged Sword: Katie reflects on how humor has been both a coping mechanism and a barrier to healing in her life.

Embracing Authenticity: She discusses her experience of being seen and accepted for all aspects of herself, including her autism, and encourages listeners to embrace their authentic selves.

KristieKulik ,

Such a great message

It is so refreshing to have someone give permission to lean into our imperfections instead of hide them away. I love hearing Dani’s perspective and her willingness to share the uncomfortable aspects of her story in order to show her listeners there absolutely IS beauty in the broken

Hard topics treated so delicately

Dani is such a talented, interviewer and treats really hard subjects with delicacy. Her vulnerability is so empowering and I learned so much about how to be human when she speaks. I would recommend this podcast to anybody learning how to be vulnerable themselves or just interested in different topics!! there’s such a good range of different guests.

Inspiring to all us imperfect humans.

Sometimes we need a mentor in our life to help walk us through the tough times, sometimes we need a therapist to just listen to us as we need to talk and vent, sometimes we need a shoulder to cry on, and sometimes we just need to hear other peoples stories so that we don’t feel alone. This podcast has a little bit of all of this.
