Philadelphia police arrested three men and expect to charge a fourth in a retail theft operation that targeted dollar and drug stores throughout the city. Police call them the “Diaper Crew.” Police in Chester County are trying to find a man accused of knocking on windows and doors and exposing himself to residents in the middle of the night. Philadelphia Building and Construction Trades Council pledged their support to Vice President Kamala Harris Friday and made a strong pitch for Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro to be her running mate. Comcast is bringing the excitement of the Olympic Games to Center City with live coverage broadcast throughout the week on an outdoor screen.

Police in Chester County are trying to find a man accused of knocking on windows and doors and exposing himself to residents in the middle of the night. Efforts to reimagine two youth correctional facilities in New Jersey are just getting underway as Attorney General Matt Platkin announced a working group to determine their future design and purpose on Thursday. About a dozen Delaware County employees received CPR and other lifesaving training on Thursday through a new program funded by recent opioid settlements. Residents can register to receive the same training for free. Did you know you can take part in a free, air conditioned Olympic watch party at City Hall all weekend long?

A 72-year-old South Philadelphia woman was injured and a dog died after a shooting Thursday evening in South Philly. Anti-gun violence advocate Gabby Giffords threw her support behind Vice President Kamala Harris’ run for the White House in Philadelphia on Thursday. The Harris campaign hosted the former congresswoman to appeal to voters on one of the biggest issues in the city: gun violence.
Fifteen students joined a group of around 20 teachers and parents on Thursday at the Philadelphia School District’s first in a series of forums for students to share how they’ve felt marginalized amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas War. The Philadelphia Orchestra and Ensemble Arts welcomed dozens of Philly’s youngest and brightest talents to study singing, dance and acting at their very first High School Summer Arts Sessions.

Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner's Office has announced charges against a 68-year-old man it says hit and killed a CHOP doctor riding her bike in Center City last week.  The charges announced have intensified calls for more safety measures for bicyclists from bike advocates. Charges have been upgraded to murder for a Chester County man and his girlfriend that are accused of torturing and killing his 12-year-old daughter.  Dozens of drivers began having car problems after filling up at a Wawa in Richboro. It's because of contaminated gas.  SEPTA is rolling out a faster way to pay fares without riders having to unlock their smartphones.

A number of drivers who recently filled up at a Wawa in Bucks County suffered some pain at the pump — not from high prices, but from bad gasoline. The SEPTA Board is scheduled to vote Thursday on a $725 million contract to buy all new cars for the Market-Frankford Line. Starting next year, when New Jersey taxpayers file their 2024 income taxes, they’ll be able to do so directly with the IRS, thanks to a program announced Wednesday.

Authorities are looking for the gunmen who shot and killed a 16-year-old boy Tuesday in Northeast Philadelphia — and for a woman in her 30s who they say gunned down a 15-year-old girl in North Philly just hours later. A group of Jewish students and their families claim Philadelphia School District officials have allowed antisemitic bullying to take place without consequences since the Israel-Hamas war began last fall, according to a civil complaint filed Tuesday. Riders are getting fed up with frequently delayed and canceled trains on New Jersey Transit’s River Line. One South Jersey lawmaker is trying to get to the bottom of it. The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society got to show off one of its most ambitious efforts. Environmental Protection Agency officials toured the PHS project to make Nicetown-Tioga cleaner and safer.
