Podstruck: A Rom-Com Rewind

I listen to a lot of podcasts and this is a standout. The hosts have great chemistry and bring unique perspectives. I’ve loved every episode.

I’ve listened to every episode, and am already a big fan. The hosts have differing viewpoints but hear each other out, they cover a pretty good mix of different romcoms, and they’ve had impressive guests, too. Such a treat!

So I started listening recently thanks to the “What Went Wrong Podcast”. Loved the theme of the podcast so decided to give it a try. Listened to a few and was sort of into it but the more I listened, something felt off. The discussions and different opinions are valid and entertaining and it’s ok to disagree on some stuff but… is it just me or the hosts dont have chemistry? it feels so forced. One of them is super enjoyable and I think the one most people relate to and the other one is just… so… idk… negative? no one has chemistry, nothing is funny enough, nothing is good enough. And while one of them is like yeah ok and tries to keep the light mood, the other one just keeps saying the same things until it’s like ok fine we get it: you hate it… again. you can tell the other host is trying to save the conversation and keep it light. some of these movies are so loved and I’m ok that some people dont love them as much but it’s just the way her arguments are coming across. idk. I never leave reviews but I feel this one has potential to be better. maybe it needs some changes? maybe another host?

I love this podcast. Perfect way to unwind and revisit fun movies from my youth. Super witty and also insightful. Fun to watch the movie they’re discussing first, but you don’t have to!
