More race war rhetoric amongst Texas Democrats | Polling data in Texas U.S. Senate race – Pratt on Texas 2/9/2026

The news of Texas covered today includes: Our Lone Star story of the day: A political race war blew up in the Texas Democrat Party race for U.S. Senate last week and it is still erupting on the national level. Now, the Democrat Caucus leader in the Texas House, old Gene ‘Boo Hoo’ Wu is having his race war comments exposed. It’s all evidence that the Democrat Party wasn’t just the party of slavery, racial segregation, and the KKK, it is still the party of racial separatism and conflict. And note the polling data (see page 14) just out on the Dem race for U.S. Senate – that party is massively divided upon racial lines. Our Lone Star story of the day is sponsored by Allied Compliance Services providing the best service in DOT, business and personal drug and alcohol testing since 1995. The University of Houston’s Hobby School of Public Affairs has released new polling on the Republican and Democrat races for U.S. Senate as well as sentiment on President Trump. I offer evaluation of the GOP race on the show. An RGV Republican Texas House candidate gets it right: “It’s kind of funny that they put fascism on here, but this is the real fascism, is them stomping on free speech. I’m just the opposite and I am from American values and for free speech and will fight for that.” Read more: ‘No Nazis’, ‘No Fascist’ spray-painted on Texas House candidate’s campaign signs in McAllen. Interviews: TX19 hopeful Tom Sell; Lubbock Co. JP 2 hopeful Anah Menjares | Absurd ESG ruling – Pratt on Texas 2/5/2026

The news of Texas covered today includes: Our Lone Star story of the day: A look today at the Republican Primary race for Texas’ 19th Congressional District made on open seat with the retirement of Jodey Arrington. We visit with candidate Tom Sell. Candidates, to appear on the show request time here (just as Corley did.) Our Lone Star story of the day is sponsored by Allied Compliance Services providing the best service in DOT, business and personal drug and alcohol testing since 1995. We visit with Anah Menjares, Republican Primary candidate for Lubbock County Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2. A Trump appointed federal judge makes an absurd ruling on Texas anti-ESG law, SB13. Albright may get away with hanging his hat on some “overbroad” provision upon appeal but his ruling that the law violates the First Amendment free speech rights of the plaintiffs is ridiculous. The law does not stop anyone from saying anything, or joining the anti-human ESG movement. The law simply sets policy standards regarding the investment of public money by the state and its institutions. Does Albright believe that a legislature cannot set such policies? The leftwing states have policies in place to favor investment in the evil ESG movement. Attorney General Paxton sues the Muslim Brotherhood, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (“CAIR”), and CAIR’s Austin, Houston, and DFW chapters to ban the terrorist organizations from operating in Texas. Texas schools put students in harm’s way sending them to protests | Is school ‘security’ just a joke? – Pratt on Texas 2/4/2026

The news of Texas covered today includes: Our Lone Star story of the day: Many Texas public schools supported students leaving class for leftwing agitation/protest events. This has to stop whether Left or Right, class time is class time. They can learn all their First Amendment rights outside of school hours just fine. But worse, in this case, faculty and staff put students in harm’s way outside the campus ‘security’ bubble. TEA has reacted strongly but lawmakers need to add more avenues of personal accountability for faculty and staff engaged in this type of behavior. TEA To Districts: Student Walkouts Risk Funding Loss And State Takeover. Our Lone Star story of the day is sponsored by Allied Compliance Services providing the best service in DOT, business and personal drug and alcohol testing since 1995. Is expensive public school security all a farce? How does this go on with no faculty, staff, or administrators noticing? Wylie ISD Responds to Islamic Handouts at School. District officials said the group Why Islam? did not have approval to distribute materials on the Wylie East High School campus. Former Texas A&M teacher files lawsuit, paid for by Leftist groups, wanting her job back after being fired for including gender-fluidity ideological material in what was supposed to be a course on children’s literature. Where she and her type get this idea of a First Amendment right to “academic freedom” is hard to pin down. Certainly no one has a right to free speech on someone else’s dime or property. Texas Democrat race war in Senate primary | Polling says Americans widely support immigration enforcement – Pratt on Texas 2/3/2026

The news of Texas covered today includes: Our Lone Star story of the day: Media and its Democrats keep saying the ICE operations to arrest and deport illegal aliens is going to kill Republicans in the mid-term elections – but what does polling actually say? Do American really oppose aggressive immigration enforcement? A major poll has numbers that grossly contradict the leftwing narrative: More than 60% of midterm voters support deporting illegal immigrants, poll finds. Our Lone Star story of the day is sponsored by Allied Compliance Services providing the best service in DOT, business and personal drug and alcohol testing since 1995. Texas Democrats get about a day to gloat over their surprise Senate District 9 special election victory before they devolve into a race war in their U.S. Senate primary contest: Colin Allred unleashes on James Talarico over alleged ‘mediocre Black man’ comment Texas Democratic Senate primary erupts after Talarico accused of remark about ‘mediocre Black man’ Democrat Talarico, who said God is ‘nonbinary’, now says atheists are more ‘Christ-like’ than Christian colleagues Houston Chronicle editorial, among the longest I have ever seen for an endorsement, tells Democrats they need to support Talarico because he’s less extreme outwardly and talks like Democrats of old – Ha! He sure does…. “mediocre Black man!” Many Texas public schools seem to be supporting students leaving class for leftwing agitation events. This has to stop whether Left or Right, class time is class time. They can learn all their First Amendment rights outside of school hours. Listen on the radio, or station stream, at 5pm Central. Union leader beats Trump-backed conservative in Texas Senate special election | No ICE. What then? – Pratt on Texas 2/2/2026

The news of Texas covered today includes: Our Lone Star story of the day: Saturday’s special election in Texas Senate District 9, a heavily Republican district, saw an AFL-CIO trained “union leader” beat Trump, Abbott, and Patrick endorsed Republican activist Leigh Wambsganss. Florida’s Ron DeSantis is right, we cannot just ignore this, the weather effected both sides and Republicans generally vote higher in early voting than Democrats. Dems did organize big, and spend big money, for this special election as a morale booster but the defeat should be taken very seriously. Democrat Christian Menefee wins Texas’ 18th Congressional District runoff against Amanda Edwards. Will face Edwards AND old cane knocker Al Green in the upcoming primary for the same district. Our Lone Star story of the day is sponsored by Allied Compliance Services providing the best service in DOT, business and personal drug and alcohol testing since 1995.
