    Letting go with Kapalabahti

    This rapid nostril breathing can be a great way to free up space in the diaphragm. Also known as breath of fire or skull shining breath, it is best practised in the morning, and becomes more beneficial the more familiar it feels.

    Good morning let's breathe

    My voice welcoming you in to the day, inviting sama vritti pranayama (equal part breathing) to a slow count in and out for 4. Then some silence. This track then can lead on to some gentle flowing music, that feel good to start some movement of the upper part of the body.

    Ratio Breathing - 4:8

    Follow this guided breathing practice to soothe and rest the nervous system. We start by breathing in for 4 and out for 4 and the exhale gradually gets longer until it is twice as long as the breath in. I hope you enjoy!

    Breathing to pause in stillness

    Ratio breathing. Breathing in for 1, holding for 4, breathing out for 2. This gentle, mindful breathing practice allows us to take longer, slower breaths to feel calm. This guided breathing is part of the Remembering class, when we practice pausing in stillness and remember the goodness in our hearts.
