Psychopedia

Psychopedia is a true crime podcast infused with comedy….making it a crimedy. Each week, Investigator Slater presents a horrific true crime case to Tank Sinatra for the first time, whose reaction to each gruesome detail prompts thought provoking conversation and hilarious dialogue. The episodes contain several pop quizzes to keep Tank on his jacked toes, while causing listeners to question Investigator Slater’s mental health. Tank Sinatra has been called the most prolific original meme creator in the world and one of the most talented content curators. Investigator Slater is a highly regarded leader in the field of investigative law. But above all else, Tank and Slater bring to the table 20 years of friendship and A LOT of hysterical memories. When they come together to discuss true crime each week, you can count on enjoying a well-researched, entertaining new volume of Psychopedia. Outside of other crime podcasts that have gotten too political or watered down in detail for the sake of triggering, this show is such a relief. Slater is an incredible story teller. I hope she chooses to write a book someday. Tank brings in an honest perspective that doesn’t feel annoyingly privileged. I love that they can talk and don’t edit out any disagreements. It’s a healthy space that leaves the details in. Other than Small Town Dicks, Psychopedia is #1. Thanks for company!
Something New

I’ve been listening to true crime podcasts for a few years now and have been looking for a new one. I came over after listening to the episode on heart starts pounding (also love) and was extremely impressed. So far there have been multiple cases I’ve never heard before which is a nice change from hearing the same stories over and over again, but Slater even brings new details to the cases I have heard about multiple times. I love the cases she selects, the way she presents them, and I’m totally in the same boat as Tank- I get the pop quizzes wrong all the time. I also love that I can listen to this podcast in the middle of the night and not feel creeped out because there is levity, but the gory details are not left out. Overall- absolutely love it!
“Welcome home”

Another member in “The First Degree” podcast Facebook group recommended Psychopedia. I’m always looking for more true crime content so I decided to give it a shot and “oh my gawd,” I’m so glad I did! As a native Long Islander, it feels like I’m a part of a discussion with family or friends from home; the mix of comedy sprinkled in to balance out the seriousness of the cases is perfect, and the ease of the back and forth with Tank and Slater is great. Tank starts out each episode with a welcome to new listeners, or a “welcome home” to returning listeners, and with this podcast I do feel right at home. 10/10 ⭐️
Completely addictive

I listen to podcasts about 9 hours a day. Since finding Psychopedia a couple of months ago, I haven’t listened to any other podcast. I am obsessed. Normally after spending so much time listening, I start to get irritated by one thing or another but I continue to look forward to listening to Slater and Tank and don’t ever want to get caught up on episodes! Dive in! You will not be sorry.
