Real Wisdom, Artificial Intelligence

Gaurav Vaid

Daily Doses of RASHMI is a short daily podcast (3–7 min) for founders, leaders, builders, and thoughtful humans navigating complexity in the AI era. Each episode offers a pause to reflect, reframe, and respond with clarity. Grounded in the Wisdom Hierarchy—Knowledge → Intelligence → Wisdom—these reflections help build self-awareness, clearer decisions, and wiser leadership. No advice. No noise. Just a space to think clearly. In the age of AI, speed is abundant. Clarity is rare. AI gives speed. Humans need clarity. The secret ingredient is YOU.

Is Your Identity Real—or a Mental Model? | Growth Mindset++ in the AI Era

Today’s Dose feels like one of the cleanest expressions yet of Growth Mindset++. The key distinction is: Your identities can contribute to who you are without becoming the boundary of who you are. That is subtle, but very important. Your logical intellect does exactly what you describe: it protects and expands whatever it interprets as “me” or “mine.” That can include: job title, profession, company, country, religion, status, reputation, even a philosophy or worldview. There is nothing inherently wrong with any of these. The problem begins when the intellect treats a mental model as existential truth. Then a threat to the role feels like a threat to the self. A challenge to the belief feels like a challenge to the self. A change in the organization feels like a challenge to the self. So perhaps: Identity becomes constraining when protecting the model becomes more important than perceiving reality. That connects directly to yesterday’s theme of self-worth. Traditional Growth Mindset says: I can learn and change. Growth Mindset++ goes deeper: The identity that I am trying to improve may itself be provisional. That is a significant step. Your three layers become especially clear here: Fixed:I know who I am, and I protect it. Growth:I can improve who I am. Presence:I can see clearly without needing my current identity to define what I become next. So perhaps: Growth Mindset expands the identity. Presence loosens the need to be imprisoned by one. That feels canonical. There is an apparent tension: If identities are mental models, does that weaken the idea that the Secret Ingredient is YOU? I think it actually strengthens it. The Secret Ingredient is not a job title. Not nationality. Not a fixed personality description. It is the unique integration of: experience, memory, skills, sensibility, perspective, care, and present awareness that you bring now. So: The Secret Ingredient is YOU — but YOU is alive, not fixed. Identity is useful — until it becomes something to defendThis is where Growth Mindset++ becomes much more than adaptability“The Secret Ingredient is YOU” survives this beautifully

Do You Know Your Own Worth? | Self-Respect, Presence & the AI Future

Today’s Dose ties together several October threads: self-worth, attention, presence, and the human role in the AI era. The central distinction is: Feedback can inform you without defining you. That has appeared before, but today it becomes more foundational. There is an important nuance here. Knowing and respecting yourself does not mean: ignoring feedback, assuming you are always right, or insulating yourself from others. It means your basic sense of worth is not continuously renegotiated through external approval. That gives you enough inner stability to actually hear feedback more clearly. So paradoxically: The less your worth depends on feedback, the more honestly you can receive feedback. That feels worth preserving. Others’ opinions are useful signals. Managers. Customers. Peers. Friends. Markets. All can reveal something you may not see. But the moment the signal becomes: This determines who I am. you lose freedom. Then attention shifts outward toward constant monitoring: Do they approve? Am I respected? Am I succeeding? Am I ahead? And that directly connects to your larger critique of the attention economy. Perhaps: External validation is another form of attention capture. Your attention gets pulled toward maintaining the version of you that exists in other people’s minds. Presence reclaims that attention. Self-respect is not self-inflationExternal opinion becomes dangerous when it becomes identity

The Secret Ingredient Behind Collective Creation | Make Room for Difference

Today’s Dose completes an important loop around “The Secret Ingredient is YOU.” So far, that phrase has mostly meant: Bring the value that only you can bring. Today adds the relational half: Allow everyone else to bring the value that only they can bring. That feels essential. It is possible to become more authentic yourself and still remain deeply controlling of others. You may know what you care about. You may understand your values. You may bring your unique contribution. And yet still become irritated when someone else: thinks differently, moves at a different pace, communicates differently, responds emotionally, challenges your assumptions, or simply does not behave the way your mental model predicts. So collective creation requires two freedoms: Freedom to be yourself.Freedom for others to be themselves. Without the second, the first easily becomes individualism rather than integration. The sequence continues to get more coherent: ConnectIn → Connect with → Connect out ConnectIn matters because before I encounter you, I am already carrying: thoughts about you, memories of you, expectations of you, emotions about you, interpretations of what you should do. If I do not see those as my signals, I can mistake them for reality. Then instead of meeting you, I meet: my internal model of you. Presence makes another interaction possible. I can notice: I expected you to respond this way. without converting that automatically into: You responded incorrectly. That is a very important distinction. Collective creation requires more than authenticityThis is where ConnectIn becomes relational infrastructure
