Via Negativa: Why It's Better to Remove than Add Things to Your Life

A lot of times we think that be more productive, we need to add things to our lives. Another habit, another app, a new routine, etc. But, actually, the very opposite is true. If you want to add to your productivity, the best place to start is by subtracting things from your life.

7 Things the Lord Taught Me in 2020

As we look ahead to a new year, I took some time to look back at what the Lord has taught me in the previous one. This episode is admittedly a bit self-indulgent, but hopefully, it will spark some ideas for you.

Why a Victim Mentality Is Cancerous to Personal Productivity

Why a Victim Mentality Is Cancerous to Personal Productivity

A victimhood mindset is antithetical to the gospel and to personal productivity. People who think of themselves as victims are trapped in a prison of their own mind, always waiting for someone to come save them. If you adopt a victimhood mindset, you will never get anywhere. This self-pitying mind trap must be destroyed whenever it rears its ugly head.

Christ-Centered, Practical advise in disciplining ourselves for Godliness

This Podcast has been a great help in thinking through the way in which the reality of the Gospel impacts the details of how we communicate and work. It matters how we get things done! (I added the exclamation for Reagan’s joy). =-) Thank you for putting this program together. It has come to me at the right time to speak grace to me in areas in which I need to hear.
