From the Peabody Award nominated C13Originals Studio, and the creators of Root of Evil, comes a new documentary series about the stories, and family we can’t escape.
Jackee Taylor has been hidden in WITSEC, better known as the Witness Protection Program, for almost 40 years. But after a strange and violent incident reveals secrets about her past, Jackee begins a journey to find out the truth about herself, and her family. Hers is a twisted tale of darkness, murder, mystery, tragedy, and resilience, which traverses the country, and lands in the most violent era of one of the country’s most violent cities - 1970s Cleveland. At the heart of this story, is Jackee’s relative - a former member of the world’s most powerful motorcycle club, a sociopath, a killer, and an informant. Jackee can’t move forward unless she reconciles with his past, and she’s finally telling this story in the hopes that others don’t have to live the kind of life that she has.

Somewhat Interesting

I keep listening to this podcast and then finding myself coming back trying to to give it so many chances. It definitely doesn’t “hook” you but it’s not awful. One thing I can’t stand is the way the narrator pronounces her “S”’s. It’s so shrill and whistle-y it hurts my ears. I also agree the music is awful. I do feel for how hard of a life Jackie has had, however.

Done really well

I got hooked right away at the end of the first episode. The story is a good story and not like the other podcast where they repeat the same stuff over and over again each episode is worth listening to and I can’t wait till the next one comes out on Tuesday.

Mind numbingly boring

I wanted this podcast to be everything it could be And more. But it fell short- like waaaaaay short.
Thought it would be a great listen on a 5 hour car trip with some girlfriends. We were all invested, excited to hear the story unfold, waiting patiently for all the mysteries to be revealed.
It ended up going on off shoots that didn’t add to the story at all. Irish gangs random backstories on tertiary characters. Each episode became less engaging than the one before it.

It was hard to listen to at times- not because of the content but because it lacked anything interesting or of substance.

Jumped ship on ep 5.

Don’t waste your time.
