    380 - Disco Elysium Part I

This is the face of a late-stage Retro Encounter enthusiast.
This week we get together to discuss a game inspired by Dungeons & Dragons, despite a complete lack of any dungeons or dragons: Disco Elysium. Listen in as we discuss the wild humor and politics of this strange, amazing video game, and find out just how many bad choices we can make while still solving a murder case.

    379 - Final Fantasy Fantasy Draft 2.0

    379 - Final Fantasy Fantasy Draft 2.0

Off my podcast, jester. The commissioner sits there.
It's fantasy draft season! And, well, it's been a while since our last draft episode, and even longer since we've drafted characters from the biggest RPG series around. So, we decided to pull a new panel together to engage in some Retro Encounter rules-based discussion nonsense with a supersized episode where we draft all our Final Fantasy characters.
Is Celes is main character or a supporting one? Where does Kefka fall on our big board? Just how long can we make one episode? Listen in to find out!

Great Podcast

Been listening for years. Even if you haven't played the game they are talking about it’s always a good listen.

Impressive fan cast

These people put so much effort into their hobby, it makes me feel terrible about myself. I love it!

. So he jumps in

I have listened to mike or monsoon for 8 years now . Love the show. Only criticism would be most of the guests other then Peter. You can tell some have either just got into rpgs very very recently and have not played many or are just bad at speaking . Mike has to finish what they are saying half way through points pretty often . I am not trying to be mean to these guests I’m sure they are amazing people and there is nothing wrong with being new to rpgs either just then you have a podcast I dunno should have major experience or maybe they don’t it’s however you run the thing it’s your show so my input didn’t really make sense there but the other point does. Some are really bad public speakers. And you can tell . Still great show I love mostly everyone as people great job. If that’s my only criticism then seriously good job .
