The podcast iterated on an important point about focusing development efforts on growing a network’s speed; A faster product enables startups to capture the current market and expand the industry’s overall market share. For instance, the podcast highlighted the competition between Google vs. Yahoo and how Google grew their market share in search since their technology was significantly faster than Yahoos. While Aptos is faster than Ethereum, it was unclear how they generate revenue. They regard their blockchain network as a "public good," similar to the internet, and aim to generate revenue by developing supplementary tools. This approach could undermine Blockchain’s appeal, as a key motivation for users is to avoid having their identity monetized and preserve privacy. It would have been insightful to hear more on the tradeoffs between speed and privacy as it relates to layer 1 networks.

The perspectives shared on the FoW were honest and energizing. Aside from simply hearing that there are relevant leaders who understand and share the desire for the freedom and trust workers are seeking, the moderators and Tony elaborate on the variables around the need for improved management at every level. Not stopping there, they shared insights of the practical approach in recruiting, structure, and building culture that will create a desirable Future of Work, that is human centric. This episode alone offers some incredible value in framing a businesses approach to their own evolution of work.

The interview about the future of fraud , crypto and AI with Sardine CEO was most illuminating. This may solve the massive chargeback problem that plagues Visa and MasterCard payments. Having previously built one of the largest internet entertainment sites in my past I wish we would have had blockchain. Certainly would have helped with meetings with Visa about the number of chargebacks on the network. Lloyd is a true masterful interviewer bringing out the experience of the guest.

Lloyd has a laid back, no frills approach to his interview style. Great questions with no unnecessary forced banter or embarrassing attempts at humor like so many entrepreneur focused podcasts have. I particularly like how Lloyd asked his guest about their daily work routine. Great sound quality and editing, too. Looking forward to more episodes!
