The acquittal

I just started listening and want to say thank you for explaining in simple terms to help us laymen to understand all that is going on. I am disappointed with the fact that you brought up about it being against the law when the speaker tore up the speech but not one word why she actually did it, which was because of all the lies the president told during the speech. If by chance you did and I missed I apologize. After all the has happened with the impeachment why is it not against the law to outright lie to the public?
