We specifically discuss rural versus urban spaces and how urban space correlates to activist culture which is often more absent in rural areas.     How can we be in conversation with someone who perceives reality in such a different way than us? How do we create shared language?  In this episode, we speak about how the media is perpetuating polarization and creating different realities. This conversation describes how these different realities make it difficult to have dialogues about issues because it causes folks to not be speaking a shared language. We speak about how using dialogue with an emphasis on empathy can create understanding between people with different beliefs and give an ability to walk alongside others to better approach difficult issues and conversations.
