    About Nicole Cairns:

Nicole has always had a thirst for knowledge related to health.  Although more of a hobby as a young athlete, with a change in career in her 30s it became a primary focus.  With the birth of her children, Nicole decided to divert from her expertise in computer science, which she had applied as both a software designer and then later the head of technology at a high school, to dive into the health arena.  Nicole, with a two-year-old in one hand and an infant in the other, went back to school to earn her Registered Holistic Nutrition designation while starting Thorpe Benefit’s Health and Wellness Inc, the health and wellness consulting division of Thorpe Benefits, an employee benefits consulting company. It is here where she entered the world of Corporate Health and Wellness. In the subsequent 10 years, she went on to become certified in Applied Positive Psychology, Positive Education, and Mental Health Leadership from Queens University and designed and delivering corporate wellness programs across over 10 facets of health including communication, resilience, financial wellbeing, fitness, nutrition, psychological safety and more to 100s of organizations.  She has earned industry awards for creating corporate wellness solutions that exceed industry standards in terms of breadth, efficacy and engagement and has been recognized as one of Canada’s Leading Innovators in Mental Health and Safety by DiversityCan Magazine. In her 5th year as the Director of Health and Well-being at Linbrook School, a K-8 all boys school in Oakville, she is thrilled to be an integral part of a community that is leading the pack in the area of positive education in Canada and putting well-being at the heart of education.

In this episode of the She Flourishes podcast, host Brenda Jasmin and guest Andrea Crisp—a fellow podcaster, empowerment coach, and author—dive deep into the topics of spiritual abuse, religious trauma, and reclaiming one’s spirituality. Andrea shares her personal journey of overcoming challenges within organized religion, her path to becoming an empowerment coach, and how she assists others in navigating their spiritual healing. This episode not only sheds light on Andrea’s program 'Reclaim' aimed at individuals facing similar struggles but also opens up an honest dialogue about spirituality, resilience, and personal growth.

    About Andrea Crisp:
