    Covenant AI Just Called Out Bittensor And Left. Templar to 0?

    Covenant AI just dropped one of the biggest stories Bittensor has seen in a while. The team behind Covenant-72B is officially leaving Bittensor, and they are not going quietly. In their statement, they accuse Const, Jacob Steeves, of having too much control over the network and argue that Bittensor is not as decentralized as many people believe. Their claim is serious. They say one person can shut off emissions, override subnet owners, and influence outcomes when it matters most. That is not a small complaint. That is a direct attack on the core idea behind the network. This matters even more because Covenant AI also owns Templar, one of the most important subnets in the ecosystem. So this is not just side drama. It raises real questions about what happens next for Templar, who runs it from here, and whether development slows down or stops. This does not automatically mean Bittensor is broken, and it does not mean every subnet is in danger. But if more top teams start leaving, then this becomes a much bigger problem.
