"That was the first obstacle was figuring out how to translate my habits from home into school while also trying to be your average college student."

Today's episode is a solo episode where I chat about my thoughts on junior year of college, focusing on the second semester that was on campus after being remote in the fall. I also talk about the unexpected effect of working out in a college apartment and what I did to navigate these difficulties. I also look forward to the summer and a big goal I have for the next couple months.

This episode will be the last episode of season 2. Season 3 will pick up at the end of August as I am taking the summer to gather guests and focus on the link between my guests and the audience listening! Take the summer for yourself. Find a new hobby or habit or finally do the one thing you've been wanting to do. Take the opportunity.

“I always get such a weird look from everyone, they’re like “why are you taking 18 credits? You don’t have to.” and I’m like, “but I want to.” There are so many interesting classes out there.”

Today I sat down and chatted with Dalya Moumina who moved from Saudia Arabia to the United States to get her bachelor’s degree. We chatted about her experience as an international student and the pros and cons of being an international student. She explained the classes she took for her major and the basics of economics classes. She loved international finance and she used to travel to many different countries as a kid. Now, she’s a consultant, moving from being a technical consultant to management consultant. We also chatted about her future and where she sees herself in five years!

“It’s a huge opportunity for growth, but it’s also a huge opportunity for failure. And that can be rough initially. As long as you have followed a path where you surround yourself with a supportive environment and a really good support network, it’s something you can weather and it can lead to really wonderful things.”
