The Boundaries That Protect Your Relationship

The Boundaries That Protect Your Relationship Boundaries aren’t about controlling your partner. They’re about protecting the relationship you’ve chosen to build together. In this episode, we’re talking about the boundaries that can help couples feel safer, more secure, respected and connected—from friendships and social media to workplace relationships, communication and those situations that might seem harmless but can slowly create distance or uncertainty. We also talk about something just as important: open, honest transparency. If something happens that could cross a boundary or potentially make your partner uncomfortable, being upfront about it helps protect the trust you’ve built rather than leaving room for doubt later. Because ultimately, healthy boundaries aren’t about creating a list of rules. They’re about two people saying, “This relationship matters to me, so I’m going to protect it.” If you’re sitting there thinking, “Okay, but where do we even start?” I’ve created two resources designed to help couples reconnect, communicate and bring some fun back into their relationship: 💗 14-Day Connection Prompts for Couples – For Him & For Her https://payhip.com/b/JXF3N 🔥 Flirty Couples Prompts (18+) https://payhip.com/b/3H0fh These resources are a great place to start. From there, you’ll begin finding your own rhythm, creating your own rituals, and discovering what works best for your relationship. You can also find these resources through my Instagram and Facebook pages. If you enjoyed this episode, I’d love it if you followed the podcast, left a review, and shared it with someone who could benefit from it. Every share helps more couples build stronger, healthier relationships.

When Perimenopause Meets FIFO: The Emotional Storm No One Warns You About

FIFO is already hard on relationships. The distance, the loneliness, the change in routine, missing your person and trying to stay connected while living two completely different lives. Then add perimenopause into the mix. In this episode, I’m talking about what the last 8–10 days have looked like for me — the sudden low mood, heightened anxiety and insecurity, needing more reassurance, old wounds feeling fresh again, losing motivation and even losing the excitement I normally have for things I love. For a while, I genuinely didn’t feel like myself. And when your husband is FIFO, the person who feels like your safety net isn’t physically there to give you the hug or reassurance you might desperately need in those moments. I talk about how I got through those days without pretending I was fine, the tools I used to stop myself spiralling further, how Stef supported me from site, and something I didn’t expect — how our FIFO Relationship Box and connection prompts naturally gave my anxious brain some of the reassurance it was searching for without putting all of that pressure on him while he was working. This isn’t an episode about having all the answers. I’m still figuring this out too. It’s about recognising that perimenopause can add a whole new emotional layer to FIFO life — and maybe we need to give ourselves a little more grace while we learn how to navigate it. Because apparently surviving FIFO wasn’t enough of a challenge. Now we’re adding perimenopause. 😂
