Great content, will help me to never take on any debt in the first place. I don’t know why there are so many rude comments. I think Dave is good he just has to get straight to the point with the callers which gets taken the wrong way sometimes. I have listened to Dave for more than ten years. Dave seems annoyed he is talking to people and super condescending. If he is so bothered to do the show he supposedly loves, then just retire. The other cohosts actually listen and have a discussion with callers. Ep. Posted 9/26/25 he couldn’t even do basic math on an income (husband $30/hr, wife $25 assuming full time that’s $114k/year) caller thought he made about $110k. Dave responded “darling that’s not $100k not even close” he then told the caller he needs to sell his house. He never even asked what the mortgage payment was. He is not helping or serving anyone when he can’t be bothered to do third grade math on a calculator before telling a man to sell his house. Then the co-host is scared to disagree and nods along while Dave is saying 2+2=5

Dave is the Dr. Phil of the financial world. Condescending, arrogant, a bully. He talks over guests and his co-hosts. I’m going to continue to give the other co-hosts a listen as long as Dave isn’t on the episode. Dave needs to do quite a bit of introspection.

This show has good intent with the purpose of informing the general public about personal finance with heavy emphasis on paying off debt. That should be applauded. However, the hosts will often be condescending, which I find distasteful. If your views are so true, and your intent so pure, there’s no need for that. Additionally, some of the hosts are not as financially literate as they like to think they are. I have listened to some recent episodes and Jade in particular makes questionable if not outright incorrect or inflammatory comments frequently. The show injects religion into their guidance, which is not going to suit everyone. I find The Money Guy to be a far superior alternative for financial advice. They emphasize more than just debt, provide case studies to support their claims, do not include politics or religion, and are not condescending to anyone. I’ll still listen in to the Ramsey show periodically, but often find myself disappointed in what I’m hearing. Prioritize paying off your debt. There I regurgitated the singular ideology this show will provide and saved you from being talked down to by the hosts.
