Someone Knows Something

I can’t believe David at the end of this podcast! I know we are all innocent until proven guilty, but this man when you listen to this podcast is clearly guilty. He did something to this woman. David, I like your podcast usually, but you saying that you actually believe what he tells you or what he told you… I’m in utter disbelief! Even though we are all entitled to our own opinions, there are so many red flags in this podcast and things that people said. He is not a victim, and he never was. She is the true victim… Jackie. If she is deceased, then God rest her soul… Finally. This is a case of domestic abuse, pure and simple David.You’re a great podcaster, but I thought you had better judgment.

I have listened to this podcast a few times. It’s well done and I really enjoyed it

Season 10 insight: I got what I can only describe as a physic download. Just a moment where all the sudden it all makes sense. It's very obvious that the husband did it. But the pieces that came into focus for me were the credit card purchases at the surf shop and the taxi cab. We know that he killed her before sunset on August 17th because he was at the palms telling people that she had already left by then. So how was her card used at Walmart and the surf shop around 6 and 7? Because it wasn't her. I think when he went to tamarindo to "look for her" he was going to his girlfriend's house. Yes he had a girlfriend and she's the one that he gave the credit card to. Also I think he had the body in the car, that's why the dogs hit on it. And maybe the girlfriend drove the car back to the house and left in the taxi? That would make sense since he drove the moped to Tamarindo. It explains the taxi and the credit card charges. Find that girlfriend from Tamarindo and the case is solved. But she sounds like she was from Nicaragua or somewhere else so she has probably already left the country. Find the Girlfriend , Find the answers!

I’m listening to Season 9, about the murder of poor Christine Herron. I’m tremendously sympathetic to her parents and of course would like to see justice done. But podcaster David Ridgen’s behavior during his investigation approaches malpractice. He’s a true crime reporter. Has he really never heard about false confessions? Is he really so baffled about why Anthony Ringel might have admitted to the killing of in fact he didn’t? I haven’t gotten to the end of the season yet. Maybe the police find new evidence to corroborate Ringel’s confession. Maybe he really did it. But Ridgen doesn’t tell the listener, or Christine’s parents, anything about how common false confessions are. He doesn’t say anything about why people do it, or why certain interrogation techniques shouldn’t be used because they often produce false statements. He acts like it’s as simple as oh this guy said he did it, he must be guilty, how could he not be in jail yet? It’s pretty outrageous. And the police. Maybe it’s legal in Canada, I don’t know, but here in episode 4 they send undercover officers to pose as random people to try to befriend the suspect Ringel and secretly record what he says to them. That’s insane. Can evidence obtained that way possibly be admissible? And does host Ridgen care? Does it matter to him that Ringel might not be guilty?
