    The Handbook

    Bad advice can sound confident, especially when you’re tired, stressed, and just trying to make it through the day. I open with James 1:17, a grounding reminder that every gift God freely gives is good and perfect, then I point to the Bible as something more than comforting words.     What Happens When You Forget Your Miracles

    A stopped river is impressive. The part that can change your daily life is what God asks for next. I start with a quick pop quiz about Scripture, then walk straight into Joshua’s crossing of the Jordan River, when the priests step into flood-stage water carrying the Ark of the Covenant and God makes a way on dry ground. But the heart of the message is the follow-up: God tells Joshua to pull twelve stones from the middle of the river and stack them as a memorial. Why? So that when children ask, “What do these stones mean?” the story of God’s faithfulness doesn’t fade.     Friendship So Bold It Needed Repairs

    Some friendships are loud when everything is fun, then quiet when things get messy. We start today with a gut-check definition that cuts through the noise: a real friend walks in when everybody else walks out. If you’ve ever felt abandoned in a hard season, or you want to become the kind of person others can count on, this short morning episode is for you. We open Mark 2:1–12 and step into a packed house in Capernaum where Jesus is teaching. Four men carry their paralyzed friend, but the crowd blocks the door. Instead of turning around with a polite “we tried,” they climb up, tear through the roof, and lower him right in front of Jesus. The result is stunning: Jesus forgives sins, challenges the critics, and heals the man on the spot. The miracle matters, but so does what happens before it the grit, creativity, and faithful persistence of friends who refuse to bail out.     Church Music Without The Divide

We share a  response from Billy Graham’s spiritual advice column, sparked by a letter from a church member frustrated with newer songs.     I Trust in God

    Some mornings, you don’t need a long lecture. You need one steady truth that can hold your thoughts together.     What Does It Mean To Say "It Is Well"

    A single line can carry a whole ocean of grief: “Saved alone. What shall I do?” Danny Mac shares the true story of Horatio Gates Spafford, a successful Chicago lawyer whose life was first shaken by the Great Chicago Fire and then shattered by an unimaginable loss at sea. It’s the real history behind the hymn many of us have heard or sung, “It Is Well With My Soul,” and it’s far more raw and human than most people realize. We walk through the decision that sent Spafford’s wife, Anna, and their four daughters across the Atlantic ahead of him, the sudden collision that sank the Ville du Havre in minutes, and the message Anna sent after surviving while their daughters did not. Then we sit with the moment Horatio is told his ship is passing the place where the wreck happened and what he does next: he writes words of comfort rooted in God, not in circumstances.     When Paul Puts Her Name First

    A woman plants churches with Paul, teaches a rising leader, and gets her name placed first in a way that would have raised eyebrows in the first century. That’s Priscilla and her story is a timely jolt for anyone who feels overlooked, underqualified, or unsure how their gifts can matter. We walk through her introduction in Acts 18, where she and Aquila meet Paul in Corinth and share life with him as tentmakers, showing how ministry often grows out of ordinary work and faithful relationships.  From there, the focus shifts to Ephesus, where Priscilla and Aquila open their home and help shape a church community. We talk about why that kind of hospitality is real leadership, and how Priscilla’s teaching impacts Apollos, equipping him with a clearer understanding of Jesus as Messiah and sending the message even farther. That mentoring moment becomes a picture of spiritual multiplication: you invest in one person, and they carry the truth into rooms you may never enter.  We also touch Romans 16 and what it reveals about the early church, including the prominent place of women in Christian service and why Paul repeatedly honors Priscilla as a fellow worker. The big takeaway is simple and challenging: stop staring at why you can’t, and start using what God has already placed in you, because it’s not about what we can do, it’s about what God can do through us.
