    In this weeks Strength Chat, I was joined by IPF World Champion Joy Nnamani and IPF squat world record holder Bobbie Butters. Both lifters represented Great Britain at this year’s world championships in Sweden and gave some awesome performances, finishing first and third. With both being so successful on the platform, it was interesting to see that they both had some very clear similarities, but also some big differences in their style of lifting. Therefore, in this episode, we chatted about their background of getting involved in powerlifting, their differences in how they approach their lifting and their experience of competing at this year’s worlds.

In this episode I was joined by a powerlifter who has been involved in the sport for 40+ years and is still breaking records and winning national and international titles, David Ricks. At this years World Powerlifting Championships in Sweden David won his 10th World Championship, as well as setting new world records in the bench press and deadlift, all with managing a stomach virus.
