The holiday season can be very triggering for a lot of us. Mostly because our experiences when we were young shaped our way of seeing these times and usually we never revisit this trauma to work on it.



Listen to this convo with Michael Snipe Jr where he talks about his experiences dealing with trauma and we discuss some tools that are helpful whenever we are looking to resignify this season. According to the latest ValuePenguin survey of 2,100 Americans, around 55% of the inquired people experiences sadness and loneliness during the holidays early in 2022 — including 35% who say it's worse than last year. 



In the same study, it was founded that members of the LGBTQ+ community face more holiday loneliness than any other demographic analyzed, with 76% experiencing the winter blues. Some of the triggers that affect the most during this time are the ingestion and abuse of alcohol and drugs, the lack of sunlight or the growing sensation of feeling lonely and isolated.



During the following weeks I will have different conversations with several specialists and friends that have developed skills and tools to help them to navigate through these times.

Confidence is not only about looking at yourself in the mirror and thinking you are the best thing in the world, but knowing what your limitations are too.

I remember I started doing photography when I realized that back in 2017 there were so many photographers that just needed a model with abs, good lighting, and a good camera and pum… 1K likes!



I decided that I will do something about it just to realize the number of challenges you have to face to bring real diversity into the game.

I am ready, to be honest here... one of the major reasons I moved to NYC was because I acted out of fear. Being afraid of missing out but also understanding that there is nothing wrong with acting out of fear when you don't allow your feelings to take control over you!
