    Contending for the Only Gospel That Saves

    In today’s episode, we continue our discussion on the gospel by addressing a crucial question: Why is there only one gospel that can save sinners? Many people reshape the gospel to make it more appealing—often by minimizing or removing the wrath of God. But understanding God’s holiness, justice, and love is essential to understanding why Jesus had to die. We’ll explore how the gospel uniquely answers life’s biggest worldview questions: Where did we come from? Who are we? Why are we here? How should we live? What happens after death? Then, we’ll examine how different distortions—from the Prosperity Gospel to the Moralistic Gospel—shift the focus away from God’s justice and redemption, leading people into deception rather than salvation. Finally, we’ll discuss why contending for the true gospel isn’t optional. False gospels may offer comfort, but they cannot save.
