TBTL (Too Beautiful to Live) is a daily weekday podcast from Luke Burbank and co-host/producer Andrew Walsh. It is about life, current events, popular culture, puttering, serial boat ownership, and Tonight Pants. Hotline: (206) 414-8285.
#3778 Tarzan The Barbarian
Luke and Andrew dissect a news anchor’s decision to go rogue on live TV in support of a former colleague. Plus, Andrew found the perfect road trip music on his drive yesterday, but he’s worried what it might say about his relationship.
#3777 Chekhov's Sneeze
Luke has discovered a new video game that he almost played last night, and Andrew has some bad ideas for bumper stickers in Bend, Oregon. Also, scientists have calculated how many ants live on the earth and it is a LOT.
#3776 Elevator Man
Andrew joins the show from Bend, Oregon, where he found something very special on the sidewalk this morning. Meanwhile, Luke had a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day yesterday, but Andrew’s ready to turn it into a film script.
#3775 A Low Growl Of Kujo-ness
Luke and Andrew discuss the amazing story of a man who walked into a Florida swamp this summer and ended up in an absolutely nightmarish scenario involving an alligator.
#3774 The Brick Of Ludwig
Andrew finds himself on an email list that he’s not supposed to be a part of and is fascinated by the content. Meanwhile, Luke is more interested in TBTL newsletter content than the neverending coverage of the Queen’s funeral. And a listener calls in with her fascinating story of finding a bag of money.
#3773 Y’All Of The Wild
Luke continues to embed himself into the Tennessee culture, for better and for worse. Plus, apparently a lot of people got “heightening” surgery during the pandemic and never told anyone?
The Ultimate Feel Good Podcast
I’ve been listening for years. It’s the perfect podcast to just unwind, laugh and get your mind off the news for a bit. It’s like hanging out with friends.
Not sure why i like this show
The hosts are at once very boorish and egotistical but also overly apologetic and self loathing.
Way way way too much baseball talk. Not enough cat talk. Though there is a good amount of cat talk once in a while, but their need to apologize for it is r/mildlyinfuriating.
Every once in a while they get some little detail wrong, which is ok, happens to everyone, but when they are so confidently saying something wrong that’s when it gets really irritating.
