President Trump stumps for oil industry support in Texas, but Covid-19 steals the show

President Trump arrived in the emerging coronavirus hotspot of Midland-Odessa this week to fundraise and lend his support to the struggling Texas oil and gas industry. But his visit was overshadowed by the fact that two Republicans, Rep. Louie Gohmet and congressional nominee from Houston Wesley Hunt, were diagnosed with Covid-19. Meantime, new Texas GOP Chairman Allen West welcomes the decision by comedian Joe Rogan to move to Texas from California because of "more freedom."

Beto says the Texas GOP is a "Death Cult," Gov. Abbott pushes back

Former Rep. Beto O'Rourke went right at Gov. Greg Abbott's coronavirus response this week by saying the Texas GOP is a "death cult" and they "want you to do the dying." Abbott shrugged that off by saying the Democrat is a politician who isn't in office making any real decisions. Meantime, the Republican Party of Texas elected Tea Party leader Allen West as their new chairman.

What's it Take to Keep Texas Open? Wear a Mask

A showdown over the Texas GOP convention and Gov. Abbott plays the blame game

Texas Republicans clashed with the Democratic Mayor of Houston, Sylvester Turner, as his administration moved abruptly to shut down the party's massive convention that health experts had warned would be a "super spreader event" during a pandemic. Plus Gov. Greg Abbott faces more criticism from fellow Republicans over his pandemic response and he's starting to blame local officials for failing to enforce his executive orders. Trouble is it's Republican local officials declaring they won't enforce his mask orders.

Way the hell better than Joe Rogans show!

I don’t know if there is “crossover audience” or not. But he is obnoxious.

This pod is not obnoxious and gives thoughtful contemporary views of texans and focused on texas politics.

More people should be listening to this...

I listen to a lot of Texas Political podcasts and this is among the best of them. Solid analysis and good coverage on events statewide, not just focused on the big cities.
