    From AIR FORCE to CARE FORCE | David Rinaldi | Episode #180

    David Rinaldi, President of NET Ministries, shares an incredible journey of faith and hope in this BeatiDudes bonus show with Paul Kolker, Nick Bezner, and Jeff Schiefelbein. During his days in college, David enjoyed Bible studies and small groups with friends who were mostly anti-Catholic. During World Youth Day in Denver, David reluctantly took a youth group to hear Pope John Paul II, during which he experienced a conversion of heart that brought him back to Catholicism. David’s post-college experience in the Air Force also played a formative role in his faith journey. He and other friends wanted to evangelize young people in Minnesota, and that was when he first encountered NET Ministries. This group had already been established to do exactly what David felt called to do in his heart. Years later, he told his commanding officer in the Air Force about the pull on his heart for ministry, and that man proceeded to pull out his Bible to join David in prayer and support. As the President of NET Ministries, David leads a joyful and faith-filled team that challenges young Catholics, through relational ministry, to follow Christ and embrace a life of community in the Church. With over 25 years of experience as a Catholic leader and speaker, David empowers their staff and missionaries to fulfill Jesus’ command to go and make disciples. NET Ministries (aka National Evangelization Team) started as a group of college students in St. Paul, Minnesota, who were empowered by the Holy Spirit and started retreats. It only grew from there. After 43 years of NET, the ministry grew throughout the United States and has been replicated in Canada, Ireland, Scotland, Uganda, and Australia. Former NET missionaries continue to be involved in their parishes and many join Religious Life with more than 80 Priests and 3 Bishops. During their training, NET volunteers learn formation, reconciliation, uplifting speech, the power of being heard, and the most efficient way to set up chairs at NET events.
