There’s more news and less comprehension today than any historical period that didn’t involve literal witch trials, and trying to stay on top of it all can feel like playing a game of telephone with 30 people, except everyone’s speaking at the same time and like a third of them are openly racist for some reason. From Cracked co-founder Jack O’Brien, THE DAILY ZEITGEIST is stepping into that fray with some of the funniest and smartest comedic and journalistic minds around. Jack and co-host Miles Gray spend up to an hour every weekday sorting through the events and stories driving the headlines, to help you find the signal in the noise, with a few laughs thrown in for free.

Amazing show

Been listening since day one of the podcast. Miles and Jack have done an incredible job of breaking down the trending news in an entertains and informative way and inspiring people to get involved.

I also appreciate the diversity of the guests and the show has helped broaden the scope of voices I regularly listen to and introduced me to a host of other podcasts by people of colour and LGBTQ voices.

The Best... Yet?

Step to me on the breadth and/or depth of my podcast knowledge.

I ain’t down with Yelp! or Cancel Culture. I’ve never left a review of ANY podcast, yet here I am offering a stern response to one of my faves...

Jamie Loftus of the Bechdel Cast doesn’t understand Alison Bechdel’s work? Chill. Float it on. I can’t waste my time telling another mentally ill person that their own misapprehensions of mental wellness don’t bear upon the wellness of others.

But if you didn’t know that people with traumatic brain injuries (Jamie wasn’t on this episode) experience weird sympathetic reactions to physiological phenomena, then I feel sorry for your pets. I will yawn if you yawn, ScamGoddessLacyMoseley or whomever. And I literally NEVER BLINK unless I am close enough to your face to see you blink.

I’d love to be like y’all, but I can’t fake feelings like that. If you yawn, I yawn. But I can only sleep 3-4 hours a night at most, and I never blink. ‘Cause my parents beat me around the skull as a child, and now my brain physiology is different.

Your poor jokes make me yawn, and yet I keep listening. Stare me down, Zeitgang—y’all ain’t as woke as you deluded y’allselves into thinking. I wasn’t bored enough to yawn until you contradicted overwhelming empirical evidence.

Get close enough to me to see me blink, and I still won’t. You better have a tighter ten if you ever wanna middle for me. In the meantime, enjoy your 420day fiancée— ain’t nobody gonna ever ask an ignorant and cruel crowd to join them in whatever matrimony you dream of.

I don’t want a Mazda!

Great show, but I feel like 50% of it is just Miles trying to sell me a Mazda...
