There’s more news and less comprehension today than any historical period that didn’t involve literal witch trials, and trying to stay on top of it all can feel like playing a game of telephone with 30 people, except everyone’s speaking at the same time and like a third of them are openly racist for some reason. From Cracked co-founder Jack O’Brien, THE DAILY ZEITGEIST is stepping into that fray with some of the funniest and smartest comedic and journalistic minds around. Jack and co-host Miles Gray spend up to an hour every weekday sorting through the events and stories driving the headlines, to help you find the signal in the noise, with a few laughs thrown in for free.

scratches that Cracked itch

Missed Jack on the Cracked podcast so checked this out. Myles is also hilarious and I enjoy the recurring guests a lot, especially Jamie Loftus and Billie Wayne Davis.

Not kid friendly

I like the podcast, but I have a 4th grader and a 6th grader. I can’t listen to the podcast with them around. Keep the idea of the podcast, just keep the language PG.

My Mainstream News Primer

Trying to stay caught up on culture and (even worst), politics, has been like subjecting myself to daily mental paper cuts. But tuning out is NOT an option if we’re ever going to make it through this political sh!t show and be ready for 2020. Jack and Miles, and so many of the shows guests make the daily news so much easier to digest. I appreciate the hot takes and deep dives alike and I feel like I can face “the news” without tearing my hair out. Keep them spoons full of sugar coming!😋😝
Thanks!

PS. Please make Lacy Mosley and Robert Evans honorary Zeit-gang hosts. In the absence of either Miles or Jack, I’m always excited to keep listening when I hear them on. Lacy is THE best sub in my book and Robert is smart AF and is instrumental in my history re-education.

P.S. (10/30/19) please, please, please, do an official ad break transition before shilling for products. For the past two days the hosts have gone straight to a ad read with no transition and I thought, just for a minute, that the product was part of the day’s conversation. This is like watching a TV show and having the actors break character mid-scene to do an ad. Very confusing.
