The Dead Prussian and Doctrine Man

The DP podcast is an excellent source of ideas for professional military officers. I strongly recommend it to all military professionals.

In my Army, “doing” is largely prized over “thinking.” Mick gives me hope that we can move beyond that paradigm.

Mick and Steve Leonard’s discussion of how DM became a phenom was particularly instructive and insightful. Mr. Leonard noted the difference between broadcasting opinions and/or ideas and actually having influence is at least a function of having humility as part of your character and motivation.

Thanks to Mick and his podcast for helping to build a “Culture of Military Thinking.”

Incredible!

While I am late to subscribing (& thus playing catch up), through 33 episodes, Mick’s podcast is outstanding!

The ideas, frameworks & assumptions presented here are in-line with “Big Carl”’s work itself-not what to think or a checklist, but how to think.

Always educational, always entertaining & always value-added! Should be a Top 3 podcast for all professional or self-professed strategists/ defense thinkers.
