The Expecting Aerialist at the intersection of the aerial athlete’s lifestyle and motherhood. I share the stories of women from all over the world about their prenatal and postpartum journeys touching on topics such as pelvic floor dysfunction, diastasis recti & C-section recovery and postpartum mental health. Some guests are everyday women turned badass hobbyists and others are professionals currently performing for Cirque du Soleil.
I ask the key questions - How did they get back to what they love to do? How do they view their athletic body now that it has undergone birth? How was the emotional and mental transition to motherhood and how has it changed the way they see themselves? How do outsiders perceive athletic pregnant women? What is their routine and how can we learn from them?

Shattered Ankle with Lucy Abdullah Owner of Freedom Aerial
She shattered her ankle and broke the tibia coming down into the mat at the wrong angle while practicing. Lucy is currently a few months past her surgery and just beginning weight bearing exercise. We talk about both our injuries and the painstaking process back to health. Find her @aerialucy

No other podcast like it!
This podcast may seem like it is only for a niche community (which I admit we are rare birds) but it is about so much more than just aerial and motherhood. Kerry has covered so many topics that affect all of us and I can think of no more powerful way to stay connected than sharing stories. I loved the J Lo Baby #2 episode I just finished while nursing my 1 week old baby in the wee hours of the morning (thanks for keeping me awake and entertained)! I’ve been honored to be interviewed as well about my stories from now 3 pregnancies covering grief/loss and successful IVF with genetic testing! Thank you Kerry for what you do for our community.
fun and inspiring conversations
Hostess Kerry is my Silk teacher. Her Aerial Silk is one of my favorite classes, always fun and challenging, her amazing music playlist is a big plus too! Conversation in this podcast is so much I can relate my life, as a mother, aerialist, talking about injuries… people overcome hardships and so on! So inspiring that I even shared my story on her podcast once.
