What Should I Call Myself?
On this episode of the Functional Nurse Podcast, we discuss the many ways we can choose to refer to ourselves when practicing functional medicine. What should I call myself?
We discuss terms you may choose to use to describe your offerings, as well as how you may choose to describe yourself to your patients and colleagues. Beyond this, we talk about some more political aspects of the practice, using the term "doctor" for those of you with an doctorate degree, and how we can promote our expertise as nurses using certification and practicing ethically.

So happy to have found this podcast!
I have found so much useful information and inspiration in this podcast. As a nurse working to transition out of the traditional allopathic medical system and start coaching clients in a more holistic environment so they can achieve actual healing, I am so grateful for this information and support!
Just WoW
Thank you Brigitte! Your insight is solid and so, so helpful in helping my brain understand functional medicine from a nurse’s POV as I am currently transitioning to “the other side”. Such a great tip to think about providing services for cash payment to massage therapy!
