Pastors and their families live in a “glass house”—an environment where they are left vulnerable to the stress of ministry, the criticism of others, and feel the spotlight on their personal weaknesses.

Lifeway's "The Glass House" is a space where ministry leaders will shed light on the challenges they often don't feel permission to talk about. Listeners who work in the trenches of church life will feel seen and gain tools to navigate ministry and life. Those who live outside this "glass house" will better understand what it's like to dwell there.

Join Ben and Lynley Mandrell for these shockingly confessional—yet redemptive—conversations.

Episode 42: Dear Friends and Different Beliefs with Mike and Leanna

Today on the show, Ben and Lynley chat with former neighbors Mike and Leanna Lusche.  Ben and Lynley have a passion for relational evangelism and who better to speak toward developing community with Christians than their non-Christian neighbors from when they were church planting in Denver.  There are so many obstacles to overcome when we don’t share the same belief system, but with the right mindset, we can cross the street and be friends and have strong relationships with our neighbors who don’t believe or live the way we do.

Real and encouraging

Being married to a pastor and in ministry for 30 years this podcast has been so helpful and encouraging. Knowing we are not alone dealing with all that ministry can be. So often we are unable to express how we really feel to the people around us. Thank you for showing us we are not the only ones who have unspoken lives. Very relatable.

Encouraging podcast

Having grown up as a PK and now serving in ministry this podcast has been so encouraging. I wish there would have been something like this in our early ministry while raising our children. It has been so helpful to listen to other ministry families and how they dealt with the challenges that come with being a pastor including the challenges that my kids faced growing up as PKs.
Thank you for your ministry.
